A Pastry Paradise: A Must-Visit in Riyadh

I recently visited a pastry haven in Riyadh, and without a doubt, it has secured its place as the best pastry spot I have encountered thus far. Before diving into the indulgent experience, I would highly recommend making an appointment to bypass any potential waiting time, as the popularity of this place is evident from the packed crowds.

Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleased to find a choice between indoor and outdoor seating options. The European ambiance of the seating area, along with the tasteful decorations, added a touch of sophistication to the overall dining experience.

My focus during this visit was solely on pastries and coffee, and I must say, I was not disappointed. We ordered the tiramisu Danish, kouign-amann with fig jam, and a classic butter croissant. Each pastry was a masterpiece in its own right, showcasing impeccable craftsmanship and delightful flavors. The tiramisu Danish was a heavenly combination of creamy and flaky, while the kouign-amann with fig jam offered a delightful balance of sweetness and richness. As for the butter croissant, its golden, buttery layers were pure perfection.

The staff at the restaurant were incredibly helpful and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish. Their knowledge and recommendations added to the overall satisfaction of the visit.

While we focused solely on pastries this time, the tantalizing menu of savory options has left me eager to return and explore further. This establishment is not only a place to savor delectable pastries but also a perfect spot to unwind and relax on weekends.

In conclusion, if you find yourself in Riyadh and have a penchant for exquisite pastries, this pastry haven is an absolute must-visit. From the delectable treats to the welcoming ambiance and attentive staff, it guarantees a memorable experience. I, for one, will definitely be returning for more pastry delights in the...

Right next door to Gunbun, tucked away like a hidden gem in Riyadh, is a little piece of buttery, flaky paradise: Chestnut Bakery.

Let me shoot you straight—this place blew me away. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the ever-outstanding Junaid, who runs the show with a kind of class and warmth that makes you feel like you just walked into your favorite cousin’s kitchen back in Austin. Junaid’s service? Spectacular. Every. Single. Time. He’s a real pro and a genuine soul—don’t lose this guy, Chestnut.

Now let’s talk about what really matters: the goods. • The croissant? Lord have mercy. Flaky on the outside, soft as a dream on the inside—exactly how the croissant masters intended. • The roasted red pepper jam? A smoky-sweet revelation. I’d spread that on just about anything and call it a meal. • The strawberry doughnut? Pure joy. Pillowy, rich, and bursting with fresh berry flavor—this ain’t no grocery store doughnut, I’ll tell you that much.

Chestnut Bakery isn’t just serving baked goods—it’s servin’ up moments. It’s rare to find a spot that nails flavor, vibe, and service like this. So if you’re in Riyadh and you don’t stop in here, I reckon you’ve missed out on something special.

Five stars, easy. And if I could give one more for...
