My experience with them has been a series of disappointments. My first visit was earlier when I came to know that a nihari restaurant has been opened in my neighborhood, during my visit though the restaurant was opened, yet they said we haven't started serving, my only reply to him was that you guys are opened from more than a month and still you haven't.
Well, my second visit was a month later early friday morning at around 7:30 AM, saw a guy cleaning, he said we only serve after magrib, left once again and few days later again came right after magrib, yet they said we ran out of two options and just got the plain nihari, I dropped the plan and crossed line for ever visiting this restaurant.
But fate had it planned otherwise, a friend of my insisted on going to this place and yesterday, we went there once again, when we arrived it was around 2:00 PM, and the waiter said that except for fried nihari, all options are out. So, we ordered it, the order came in without browned onion over it, the essentials weren't brought in until asked for... I asked the waiter about drinks; his reply was that we don't serve sweets...kehtay hain na sawal gandum jawab chana...
By the way, nihari did taste fabulous, but I always say, it isn't just the taste of the food which matters, it's the environment of the restaurant, behavior of waiters, cooperation of management and the taste of the food. A smiling waiter can bring a thousand changes to the environment and food.
I visited once again the very next day, with a friend, thought might be able to touch onto some other options, unfortunately in the morning, they just had plain nihari and that too the waiter planned to serve with parhata until I objected and we went with naan option.
Same all, no toppings given until asked, no proper attitude of waiter, heard waiter and the counter guy (not sure if he is the boss), fighting over waiter doesn't have sense of taking orders, the bigger disappointment is, that if the waiter isn't working well neither is the owner or the counter guy.
Commenting on the taste plain was just at acceptable level. I was honestly expecting more from them, but I think I have to draw a line, this isn't worth the taste. Their restaurant seems like india, bangali or pakistani restaurant in batha, while they charge 1 riyal for a .50 riyal water bottle. The price is paid for the services provided, not for just opening it in an expensive area, while those batha restaurants provide much better courtesy serving their customers. Lastly, if you do know and your nameplate says that you are famous for nihari, isn't it that you ensure its availability during...
Read moreThis hotel will close in near future as Pakistani hotel owners do as habit when they compromise on quality and customer care and focus is only sales.
Besides Khalid bin Waleed traffic signal, DESI PAKWAAN next to this restaurant is highly recommended, good in quality and price and customer care.
My recent visit was 2/10, it was worst. They are totally unprofessional. They have forgot the order of one guy who came for take away and reception staff was laughing on their careless attitude but I was not aware that they will do same with me. I had order 76 and 77 on Friday at breakfast time. I received two shopper bags from reception and I asked the reception that how is the order distribution or it has been mixed. He said that you can check and I left the hotel. When I reached home then I have tried twice since it opened. Once, I brought 6 kulchaaz, 1 halwa puri set and 2 single chanay in take away order 77 and other 77 take away order had single nihari, 2 halwa puri set with 4 kulchaaz whereas they gave me order number 77.
I called them after reaching home and as usual Pakistani behavior reception and other staff members were blaming on each other. I told them to send my left take away to my home which is 8km away. Receptionist and who is also manager from Battgram, he said that i will send you but you have to pay delivery charges and I told him that it was your mistake. Later, he didn’t call me and when I called him then he said that give him sometime. After one hour, i again called him when there was no progress even though he asked me to share home google location. He said that delivery person is not available. I told him that cancel my order and I will collect the cash whenever I will pass by your restaurant. Overall rating is 2/10.
On 5 October 2023, I brought chicken qorma. It was good in taste with spice was at little higher end. Overall rating was 6/10.
This hotel will end up like other Pakistani hotels in Riyadh like Virsa on Haroon ur rasheed road, Ziyafa...
Read moreThe branch in Malaz serves an authentic and superior version of the food, consistently delivering high-quality dishes that highlight the true flavors and culinary techniques of the cuisine. Each visit to the Malaz branch is a delightful experience, where the food is always fresh, well-prepared, and flavorful, making it a reliable choice for a great meal.
In stark contrast, the Hamra branch offers a completely different experience. The food quality at this location is alarmingly poor. During my visit, I was served a burnt chicken tikka, a mistake that is hard to overlook in any restaurant setting. What was even more shocking was the staff's response to this issue. Instead of showing embarrassment or offering a sincere apology, they downplayed the situation, dismissing the burnt food as "not a big deal." This lack of accountability and dismissive attitude toward a legitimate complaint is unacceptable.
The food was disappointing, and the behavior of the staff was pathetic, leaving much to be desired in terms of customer service. This is certainly not the way to treat customers, and it reflects poorly on the establishment's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. The stark difference between the Malaz and Hamra branches is evident, and the Hamra branch needs significant improvements to match the standards set by its...
