i recently went there without an inkling about the place other than the fact that someone had tried it before. Khobar doesn't have a lot of Chinese food joints and most of them don't come up to the mark. So when i went there, I wasn't expecting much.
But i am glad i was wrong. To begin with, they have worked really well on the ambience, it is serene and gives you the feeling that you are elsewhere (in a good sense).
For the menu, I think it is a double edged sword. The reason i say this is that is more of a novel than a simple menu; too many items to choose from which can be over-whelming for a first timer. Thankfully the waiters came to our rescue and after a while we had the order placed. I would like to add that they were out of duck and this seems to be a regular occurrence.
When the order came, we were pleasantly surprised by the presentation of the food and later on the taste. The soups, starters and the main course, everything was made to perfection.
We ate so much (as we couldn't hold ourselves back) that we had no space left for desserts. Maybe next time.
Last but not the least, the waiters were very friendly and playful with our little ones. Thanks to themwe were able to savior the food in peace while our kids were kept busyby the...
Read moreThe first vist was perfect 5 stars, but the 2nd one was disappointing. Regarding of the food quality and taste.
Yakasaki Sushi: Average taste I could not taste the lobster as the cheese cream overcomes the taste of the other ingredients or the portion of the lobster was too little to be tasted.
Angus beef with trafel: We could not complete the dish, the beef has undesirable smell and taste. It looks like it was not fresh. Also, it has a weird texture I have never experinced with any beef befor. The onion pieces were big and uncooked.
Mixed noodle with oyster sauce: nothing special about it. the shrimp was rubbery.
Crispy honey chicken: the only thing we ate that day, I do recommend it. The onion pieces were big and uncooked.
Iced lemon tea: Homemade, it is good, but not the best.
Strawberry Mojito: below average.
Price: very high in comparison to the new dishes' portion and the food quality.
Service and Restaurant atmosphere: it is great, and the service is fast. No waiting time.
I do not recommend it at all unless they return back to their old flavour...
Read moreThis was an unexpected Chinese food trip and for years I have not revisited this place. I have forgotten why I didn't try it again but of course things change in time😆 and I'm happy one of my friends chose this..
They served the food on our table by gonging the metal plate cover while doing a certain beat that gave us an appetising feeling before we devour the smoking hot dishes..
Food wise, they got an amazing flavor that was satisfying to our taste buds and is surely an option if we crave for Chinese cuisine again.
The servers were attentive and courteous. Oh I forgot to mention that that they have this crackling as a complimentary appetiser with sweet sour sauce and chilli oil... they also gave us free mini cakes for dessert.
For some comment that needs improvement, the place was too dark and the cutleries are not grip friendly.. it easily slips since the handle is like a chopstick and would have been better of it was flat.
Overall this this restaurant deserves a try and who knows could be your fave Chinese...
