Welcome to Five Rivers, where the spices are as elusive as the men’s bathroom! I kicked off my culinary adventure with a yogurt and cucumber salad that looked like it had just been crowned Miss Freshness. It tasted fantastic, but I must admit, I was expecting it to start singing show tunes with all that flair! Cheers for the whole spices like cumin—probably the only thing that was willing to spice up the atmosphere!
Next, I dove into the lamb biryani. Ah, the biryani! A dish so flavorful, it almost made up for the lamb being tougher than a boot. Seriously, I didn't know I signed up for a wrestling match with my food. But hey, the biryani itself was great—if only it came with a side of tender lamb and a gentle warning to chew carefully.
Then came the lamb korma, which was undeniably fantastic—until I realized I’d need a dental plan after biting into the meat. I’m starting to think the chef has a secret vendetta against tender lamb.
Now, the ambiance! Picture this: a small dining area where the volume level could rival a rock concert. Upon entering, I was greeted by a table of 20 ladies who were clearly competing for the title of Loudest Diners Ever. It was like being in a sitcom, except I was the unfortunate audience member trying to enjoy my meal. The waitstaff seemed to be in a constant state of frenzy, rushing around to cater to the boisterous crowd, which meant I had to perform my own version of interpretive dance just to get their attention!
As for the facilities, I noticed a single ladies' bathroom, which was probably the best-kept secret in town, as I couldn’t find a men’s bathroom anywhere. Maybe it’s hidden behind one of the noisy tables?
In summary, Five Rivers offers a delightful array of flavors and an experience that’s as chaotic as a family reunion. If you’re in the mood for some delicious food and don’t mind a little tough love from your meat, give it a shot. Just bring your own earplugs, a sense of humor, and maybe a whistle to get the...
