Learn moreI had the pleasure of dining at the Olive Tree Restaurant today for lunch, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Abdulsamad, whose hospitality and cheerful demeanor set a positive tone for the meal.
The restaurant was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The service throughout my lunch was nothing short of immaculate, with attentive staff ensuring all my needs were met.
I started with the Tom Yum soup, which was fantastic—rich in flavors and perfectly balanced. Next, I enjoyed a Caesar salad, and I must emphasize how incredible the lettuce hearts were; they had an unexpected crunch that reminded me of biscuits!
For the main course, I opted for the rice with complete sheep, and it was superb. The dish was generously filled with cashews and peas, and the meat, a succulent shank, was cooked to perfection.
I couldn't resist trying the biryani, and it was superb with a lovely tang that tantalized my taste buds. While the pickles were a bit on the salty side, they created a delightful explosion of flavors in combination with the yogurt and cucumber. The meat in the biryani was outstanding, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.
To round off my meal, I indulged in a cheese plate featuring brie, Emmental, Gouda, and an Italian cheese that added a nice variety to the selection. Each cheese complemented the meal beautifully.

Read moreGreat atmosphere, very clean and well designed restaurant Very kind and helpful staff and waiters Unfortunately, the food buffet was huge and had a variety of food but it was average, nothing special about it, I'm not sure what they have missed, is it the spices or the food quality. I would only recommend the Arabic sweets (baclava and kunafa) Taking into consideration the food, the price per person was very high (SAR 385) Would I come again? No, but I might be visiting Olive...

While inquiring, I found Mr. Nabil unexpectedly rude and dismissive. Rather than providing assistance in a professional manner, he seemed annoyed by my questions. To my surprise, he abruptly hung up the phone during our conversation, which felt unprofessional and...
