During our visit to Madinah, we discovered Etruh Cafe, and it quickly becameone of our favourite cafes we visited on our trip. Unlike many cafes trying to mimic European styles, Etruh embraces Arabian traditions and charm, offering a refreshing and authentic experience that truly stood out.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with decor that beautifully reflected local culture. It was clear that great care had been taken to create an environment that felt both traditional and unassuming—a rare find in today’s modernized cafe scene.
We tried the recommended tea, a local specialty infused with mint, lemongrass, and rose. It was absolutely delicious and a perfect representation of the flavors of the region. Alongside the tea, we had the date cake, which was also very good. The only thing i didnt love was the use of plastic spoons.
What we loved most about Etruh Cafe was its focus on celebrating Arab heritage without trying too hard. It wasn’t just a place to grab a drink; it was an experience that embraced the essence of local culture. For anyone visiting Madinah, Etruh Cafe is a must-visit if you’re looking for something truly authentic and memorable. It is on Qiba Road, on the way to Quba mosque, so a perfect place to stop for a break on the way back.

The date cheesecake was creamy and very sweet, so probably good for sharing. It does not resemble a cheesecake, but amazing dessert. Other desserts were quite nice too. We really enjoyed the Moroccan mint tea and Arabic coffee was great. Considering the area, pricing was...
