Don’t Miss the SAMBOOOOSA 🔥🔥🔥

Aseeb Restaurant, located in Riyadh’s , offers an authentic Najdi dining experience that celebrates the rich culinary traditions of Saudi Arabia’s central region. Founded by husband-and-wife team Abu and Umm Saud, the establishment aims to showcase Najdi culture through both its cuisine and ambiance.

Ambiance and Decor

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a grand façade featuring towering doors and an expansive foyer, setting an impressive tone. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, designed to make patrons feel at home. The spacious upstairs dining area offers various seating options, including tables, booths, semi-private rooms, and traditional majlis floor seating. The interior decor incorporates murals, Najdi architectural elements, and traditional antiques such as cooking pots and palm-frond baskets, immersing guests in the region’s heritage.

Cuisine

Aseeb’s menu is a curated journey through Najdi cuisine, honoring time-honored recipes while incorporating modern culinary techniques. Highlights include red jareesh—crushed wheat cooked with milk, chicken, tomatoes, and coriander, topped with fried onions and musamana spices—and milk marasee, a traditional dish made from wheat flour mixed with onions, hot milk, and butter. The restaurant also offers its take on dishes from around the Kingdom, such as fresh spiced lamb grilled on palm leaves and grilled hashi (camel) served with honey and tahini.

Beverages

The beverage selection features a variety of fresh juices, including lemon with mint and passion fruit mojitos. Traditional options like fermented dairy-based laban and Femto (Vimto syrup), often considered Saudi Arabia’s unofficial national drink, are also available.

Service and Hospitality

Aseeb is renowned for its exceptional hospitality. Guests are welcomed with traditional Saudi coffee infused with cardamom and served with balah (dates). The attentive staff is dedicated to providing a memorable dining experience, assisting patrons in navigating the menu and ensuring comfort throughout their visit.

Accolades

In 2025, Aseeb was honored with the 39th spot on the Middle East & North Africa’s 50 Best Restaurants list, reflecting its commitment to culinary excellence and cultural preservation.

Visitor Feedback

Customer reviews often highlight the restaurant’s exceptional hospitality, traditional ambiance, and flavorful dishes like lamb rice and samosas. While many appreciate the cleanliness and attentive service, some have noted inconsistencies in taste and relatively high pricing. Overall, Aseeb is recommended for those seeking an authentic taste of regional cuisine in a culturally rich setting.

Aseeb is a culinary gem that masterfully blends the richness of traditional flavors with the elegance of modern presentation. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance strikes a perfect balance between contemporary design and cultural authenticity, creating a warm and inviting dining experience.

The menu is a tribute to classic Saudi and regional dishes, reimagined with a creative flair that respects their heritage while elevating their appeal. Each dish is thoughtfully curated — from the tender, slow-cooked lamb kabsa infused with aromatic spices, to the creamy jareesh served with a delicate modern touch. The ingredients are fresh, and the flavors are bold yet balanced.

One standout was the smoked dates appetizer — a delightful fusion of sweet and savory that set the tone for the meal. The service was impeccable: attentive without being intrusive, and the staff showed genuine knowledge and passion for the food they served.

Aseeb isn’t just a restaurant; it’s an experience that honors tradition while embracing innovation. Whether you're a local food enthusiast or a visitor seeking authentic flavors in a refined setting, Aseeb delivers on every front. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates culture...

This restaurant is found near the metro station. The entrance door is very huge and unique. Walking into the restaurant was like entering a museum, it seems to be decorated with traditional art and pieces. The dining area itself is to be found on the second floor. The tables are also suited for groups with 5-10 persons. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive. We got a welcome traditional arabic coffee and dates. We didn’t know what to choose so we ended up ordering too much. But everything was so delicious. We had a lentil soup and two other appetisers. And two main dishes to split for 3 people, it would have been enough for 5 people I guess. I never tasted a rice dish like that before. It was so colourful and fragrant. The meat was tender and very well seasoned. The second dish was with chicken and a kind of rice porridge. We enjoyed both, I personally preferred the meat dish more. And ask for their bread too, it’s freshly made and warm. To end our meal we tried the date cake with ice cream. It was so good. A little too sweet though. I would like to visit that restaurant again someday. To avoid long waiting times you may make a...

Phenomenal is the least to say about Aseeb. If you wanna have a great experience into the Saudi food culture or bringing a special guest into it, this is the place to be. The place is beautifully spacious and have a valet outside for your convenience given its busy location. They started with the Bukhor and serving the Saudi coffee as we settled in and served dates, which was complimentary representing the actual saudi traditions and courtesy. That was followed by some traditional bread and crackers “Regag / رقاق" and local tomato sauce. We ordered Fekhth Khrouf“Lamb Leg”, that was the main event and it was undebatable delicious! it was enough meat for our big group, and comes with two kind of rice and different sauces. The chicken saleeq was also great, and all of the plates we ordered were fully enjoyed. Every plate was fulfilling, which is part of the culture to bring your guests the finest and most generous of food. The service was excellent, and Abdulaziz was very attentive. All in all, it’s a wonderful food experience you cannot miss when you’re in Riyadh. Thank you Aseeb.
