Munch Bakery‎ — Restaurant in Municipality of Al Shamal

Honestly, I expected professional service and high quality from Munch, but my experience was completely disappointing. I regret ordering from them, and I can confidently say I won’t be doing that again.

When I first reached out, I mentioned I saw some negative reviews on Google, and I really hoped they weren’t true. Sadly, their response was unprofessional, and I had to keep guiding the conversation, which made things awkward. Now I understand why those reviews exist sometimes, negative comments are like red flags warning us to be cautious.

I ordered a three-layer cake for 30 people, expecting it to be prepared as agreed. But what I got was only two layers, enough for about 15 people. The last layer was filled with foam and covered with sugar paste, but inside, it was just foam no cake at all. The housemaid didn’t take a picture of that last layer before throwing it away ,which made it really hard to prove the problem.

When I called their customer service to report this, they accused me of lying and said they couldn’t help without a photo. I trusted them, and I was expecting help, but their response was very disappointing. I paid for a full cake for 30 people but only got half. Their customer service was one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. I honestly regret trusting them.

‎لما تواصلت مع خدمة العملاء أول مرة، قلت لهم إن في تقييمات سلبية على جوجل، وكنت أتمنى انها غير صحيحيه. لكن، رد مركز الخدمة كان غير محترف، واضطررت أوجه الحوار أكثر من مرة، وكان غير مبشر ولكن لازالت حسن النية قائمه. لكن الآن ، فهمت صار واضح ليه هالتقييمات موجودة أحيانًا التعليقات السلبية تكون بمثابة إنذار لازم ننتبه له قبل قرار الشراء.

‎طلبت منهم كيكة ثلاث طبقات ل30 شخص، وكنت أتوقع إنهم يجهزوها كما هو متفق بدون ادنى شك، لكن للأسف، استلمت طبقتين فقط، تكفي حوالي 15 شخص، والطبقة الأخيرة كانت فلين ومغطاة بالسكر، لكن من الداخل، كانت بدون كيكة. المربية ما صورت لي الطبقة الأخيرة قبل ترميها بالزباله ، وذا الشيء زاد من سوء التجربة.

‎لما اتصلت لأبلغ عن المشكلة، اتهموني بالكذب وقالوا ما يقدرون يساعدون إلا لو أرفقت لهم صورة. كنت أضع ثقتي فيهم، وتوقعت إنهم يتصرفون بشكل مسؤول، لكن ردهم كان مخيب جدًا، ودفعت مقابل كيكة كاملة واستلمت نصها بس. بصراحة، كانت من أسوأ تجارب خدمة العملاء اللي مرت علي، وأندم على الثقة اللي...

Great if you want some sort of specially designed cake for an event / photo shoot, and amazing service. But if you are looking for something that tastes as good as it looks, search elsewhere. The theme here is sugar, sugar and more sugar… everything is overloaded with sugar to the point it all...
