Matcha Café Dakar — Restaurant in Dakar

This place is fantastic. It has authentic Japanese flavour. The matcha is legit, as are the food choices. I ordered the avocado salad — the portion was large and could have been a meal on its own. They use fresh veggies and authentic Japanese vinaigrette. I also ordered the miso soup (ok), the salmon sushi burrito (more below), a milk-free matcha bubble tea with honey (fantastic), and the matcha tiramisu (also fantastic - not too sweet nor bland, and you could taste the matcha with every bite). The burrito was satisfying - more veggies than protein FYI which I personally preferred. The sushi rice was also good - not the best I’ve had (probably has to do with the type of rice used), but it was still very good and held up well. I have ordered at Matcha since its inception and love, love, love their food. Ten out of ten. But their customer service can be improved. I can understand a mishap in an order but I feel like they can be disorganized sometimes to the detriment of their customer. I've had a confusing experience once in their restaurant but I let it go, for an order that was not respected but today I had an odd experience that I feel compelled to share. I ordered my lunch online, called an hour later to inquire, they said they would check on the delivery guy, i had to call them again fifteen minutes later, and again and again and again, only to be given different answers, they keep saying they will call back. they gave me the runaround for two hours. With no solution, which is unfortunate....

Conclusion: come for breakfast and not Japanese food is OK. The second time here is far more disappointed. The fried chicken(last picture) i will call it over night chicken. Since It looks like and even taste like. Especially the chest part, too dry to chew. The Mocha is funny cause you could feel the Mocha powder, and if I do a blind test there is no way to recognize it is a Mocha drink, too sweet.
