Buena Vida Beograd — Restaurant in City of Belgrade

The food is well-made, with portions that are just the right size for my taste, and the ambience is pleasant and spacious.

Unfortunately, the service is grossly uncoordinated and I won't be coming here again because of that. It took us 10 minutes of waiting and another 5 minutes of waving at the wait staff until they finally noticed us and took our order - some drinks and lunch.

After 20 minutes, half of us got our food and drinks. The food was already getting cold. We could have had the drinks 2 minutes after ordering, but instead, they waited until the food was ready.

Another 10 minutes later, we get one correct dish and one wrong dish. Again, the food is already getting cold.

At this point, two of us are still waiting for food and three are still waiting to get their drink. The waiter then tells us that the wrong dish was in fact the correct one, but they just used a different name for it, so I quote, "it's not their mistake". 10 more minutes pass until the last dishes and drinks finally arrive. Yet again, the food is already getting cold.

I visited Buena Vida twice so my rating is the average score :) The first time I went for a dinner. Had Beef Tartare (pretty good, a bit more chunky for my taste; quite a lot of mayo which is a minus in my opinion), Guacamole (honesty below average, bland) and three different types of tacos - chicken, beef and shrimp. All tacos tasted more Serbian than Mexican. Beef tacos had very similar taste to pljeskavica so that was a bit disappointing for me. Shrimp tacos smelled quite bad, they were not as fresh as you would expect. Chicken tacos was the best out of three although the taste was nothing to write home about.

The second time I went for their weekend brunch and my impressions were much better. The food was quite tasty and fresh. The service was great, very polite although the restart was full. I would recommend making a reservation for the brunch. You are served seven or eight dishes/bites, it’s all Mexican food (so not the typical brunch food), empanadas, guacamole (much better this time!), burritos, quesadillas, tacos etc. It’s a lot of food, so do...

This place is located in one of the Belgrade business centers, but once you go inside, you will forget about that because you will feel like you just walked into a bar/restaurant of a fancy Mexican resort.

It's very spacious, and you can choose to be seated along a beautiful bar; in cosey diner-type booths, or at the regular tables; and all three sections have a very different vibe: so however you are feeling - this place will have something for you.

The staff is very professional.

I was here twice - once for the cocktails. They do a happy hour on certain days of the week, when cocktails go at half the price. They were tasty.

The second time around we came for wine and some food. The wine menu is not bad, they serve good Serbian wines. We had tacos, too, very delicious and beautifully presented. The prices are on the higher end when it comes to wine.
