We visited Danube Hot Pot based on a recommendation, but unfortunately, it did not live up to our expectations. Although the restaurant was nearly empty, we were told we could only sit at two specific tables. We chose one, and during our entire visit, no one else came in to use the other tables, which made the restriction feel unnecessary and unwelcoming. The staff seemed disinterested and not particularly attentive. On the positive side, we appreciated the option to have individual hot pots, which is a great feature for those with food allergies or dietary restrictions. However, the overall experience felt overpriced for what was offered. We spent around 4,000–5,000 RSD per person and still left feeling hungry. Additionally, the lack of proper air conditioning made the visit quite uncomfortable. In hot weather, sitting over boiling hot pots with only fans for cooling made it almost unbearable. We usually love hot pot and were excited about the concept, which definitely has potential. It’s a shame the execution didn’t match. With some improvements in service, pricing, and comfort, this could become a great spot, but for now, it...

Nobody warns you that you have to pay separately for the soup, which costs 980 dinars. It's not mentioned anywhere, and the waiter doesn't give you a heads up.
Also, you have to pay for sauces at 220 dinars each, and again, nobody will tell you about this; they just add it to the bill.
But the most appalling part is how they scam you with the prices of the dishes. We ordered meat for 1980 dinars, but they added it to the bill for 2980 dinars, hoping we wouldn't notice! They have two menus with different prices if you ask them about to compare prices.
We started discussing with the waiter about removing their "extra charge" and billing us at the standard price. They did it and returned our money, see the check I've attached.
If you don't notice the added items or the increased amounts on your bill, you'll end up paying much more.
Besides, everything is very expensive and not worth what we paid. I left feeling hungry. I strongly do not...
Read moreThis place is a hidden gem! We had a fantastic time exploring their delicious and authentic menu. We started with both the mushroom soup and the spicy mushroom soup – wow, both were bursting with flavor! The rest of the meal was equally delightful. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, including enoki mushrooms, springy homemade noodles, juicy Chinese pork dumplings, plump shrimp, and tender baby octopus – everything were cooked to perfection, because you are responsible for that. The sauce was amazing!
There were just a couple of minor points to note: the menu was only available in Chinese and through pictures on a tablet (hopefully, they'll have an English version soon!), and the baby octopus still had their beaks attached (which is easily remedied). Despite these minor points, we had a fantastic experience and can't wait to return to try more of their amazing dishes!
