Maison Marengo — Restaurant in Mahé

I never had such a bad experience... I ordered the Seafood pesto pasta which includes mussels and prawns. At first I get a mixed seafood pasta. I ask the waitress if this is my right food. Because there where no prawns. He said yes and I ask again where the prawns are. He talked with the manager and I get the same dish again, just a little bit smaller. I said him again that I don’t order this food. After some time and discussion he bring me this food an the photo. I don’t know what to say... my boyfriend ordered the pasta with Shrimps and he get like 15 shrimps (250scr) and I ordered prawns and get two shrimps and should pay 325scr. I Told him that I don’t pay for prawns when I got 2 shrimps and my husband had much more and paid less. I told him that I want to it eat, but just want to pay the same like my husband. The waitress was at first very friendly, but after I told him that I again don’t get what I ordered he gets unfriendly and told me that he is very busy and he need to go...I felt fooled...at the end we just pay the 250scr. But our dinner was terrible, I never felt so uncomfortable...

Yesterday was my birthday, my fiancee book for reservation 1 day before, when we walk in the staff doesn't know if we book, the service was too slow, there's a waitress she doesn't know how to speak with client, she say that they don't entertain people on their birthday when there's show,they didn't tell us anything about that show while reserving,when we booked things were different, it's my first time,I'm very disappointed, especially the way that waitress spoke to me, I told her that I want to speak with the manager, she think that she can solve everything all by herself, she thinks only of her service charge, the others was nice,I don't think that she deserves to work with client, with that attitude you won't go further, everything that waitress say, stays in my heart, you're too rude.I thought that Maison Marengo is better than this,my worst...

Price to quality ratio is likely the worst we had in 2 weeks trip. For 1450rupies we had 2 plates and 2 drinks.. octopus was decent, cocktails as well, while prawns curry was a joke..it had 5 small prawns and 6 big heads in it so it looks rich and full. I honestly had better and 4times cheaper in takeaway. I asked if it's supposed to be like it and was given another portion (5more prawns) which is nice move from restaurant and saves the experience a bit.

After being on Mahe, Praislin, La digue this was the most pricy and very average dinner for us. We wanted to have a nice farewell dinner but left disappointed. I know that all in seychelles is overpriced but this was a joke. I give it to them that the atmosphere of place is nice with live music from 7pm and with vocal from 8pm.
