Ocean Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Mahé

Had a worst experience here. Asked Dhanushka the server here if they have washrooms so we could order coffee and snacks on our way back. However guy was rude and sarcastic and said they don't have even though they have it. Even after ordering what we had planned, his behaviour was unacceptable and even approached us sarcastically thanking us for giving him a good review and he even dare to put the review.

Response to the owner: First & the foremost, there is no way we could have known there were toilet's there in the first place considering we were headed towards uphill. Secondly, we went straight to him rather than anything to inquire about the washrooms. He rudely said no rather than being courteously replying that it is for the paid customer. I would have happily ordered brunch as I understand that's how it's supposed to be. I even discussed with my wife that we cannot order foods here since they don't have washrooms in-front of him. He didn't correct himself even though we were in his earshot.

After that when we were about to leave and were bit ahead, we did spot the toilet at the premises. When we asked him again he replied "People come here without money". What is that supposed to mean? Are tourist who spends thousand's of Euros to come to Seychelles are penniless? Or are they thieves coming there and eating for free not paying for stuff? I don't which can be true.

Third even after buying from the restaurant and we were planning to buy desserts his sarcastic and threatening manner towards my wife when she said we are going to put a bad review. Who in their right minds go around and snoops on the shoulders of the customers to see if they are giving a bad review? He wouldn't even give us the number of owner so we could contact him about his behavior.

Had a very bad experience on this restaurant during our visit last October,one of their employee name Dhanuska (male) had a very bad manner …as I and my husband want to relax from a Long Beach walked we decided to pick a good restaurant to have a coffe and to use a comfort room as well,so as we approached that guy mentioned above the very first thing that we asked if they have a comfort room there just to make sure after our coffe break but instead of saying yes we do have but it is for the customers only,he said “NO WE DONT HAVE!” but as we turn our back away from that restaurant we spotted that they have it on the side,so we decided to go back and ask that guy Dhanuska why he lied,and he said many people came here no money and only want to use the bathroom.I don’t think that is the right way to treat people specially customers. And he wasn’t satisfied yet,as I and my husband were drinking our coffee and we were looking on our phone he approached me and saying “thank you for giving me a good review” sarcastically,so I decided to look for the manager of that restaurant to report his attitude but he said there was no manager,so I asked him okay I want to talk to the owner of this restaurant and he refused to give us and instead he dared us again to just put a review…he has that courage to dare us to put a review even though he knows very well that we will put his unacceptable behavior because he knows to himself that he can deny it not only denied it but he created a lies against the real situation that happened. Staying in Seychelles for 8 days as a newly wed couple was very pleasant till we encountered this restaurant who has this very bad behavior employee...

On arrival to this place sat down and looked for the toilets, no signage so walked over to ask where the toilets are, was greeted by a really rude, obnoxious gentleman who told me the toilets are round the corner, if you want to be spoken to like a child well this is the place for you, really rude staff apart from the young waitress who was totally embarrassed on how I was spoken to, will not be returning...wished we had walked out and not eaten......I do believe Dhanushka was his name, you need to learn some manners mister, horrible guy.....he had a orange t-shirt on, someone told me...
