I recently visited Beau Valley Beach in Mahe, and I can honestly say it was one of the most disappointing beach experiences of my life. What was supposed to be a relaxing day at the beach turned into a nightmare, all thanks to a dishonest coconut seller.

I was approached a coconut seller and paid him 20 Euros. He assured me he would bring back my change, but I soon learned that this was just a ploy. I waited for 1.5 hours, hoping that he would return, but to my utter dismay, he never did!

When I asked locals, they casually mentioned that this kind of scam is quite common at the beach. What a way to ruin a vacation! It’s disheartening to know that instead of enjoying the beautiful scenery, I spent most of my time worried about whether I'd be able to get my money back. A friendly place for tourists? More like a playground for thieves!

If you're considering a trip to Beau Valley Beach, my advice is to stay far away. The scenery may be stunning, but your wallet will take a hit, and your experience will be overshadowed by the constant threat of scams. There are plenty of other beautiful beaches in the Seychelles where you won't have to worry about getting cheated. Trust me, save your money and...

The best beach to watch sunsets in all of seychelles is the Beau vallon beach. Sun takes its own good time to set here, and giving us breathtaking views for about good 1-2 hours in all shades of orange/red/greenish/bluish before turning into night.

By evening around 4 PM or so, one can hear a lot of noises from fruit bats on all the trees at the beach. You could also see them flying here and there over your head. This is the hint that sun is about to set soon.

Their is Wednesday bazaar that happens in an open area only a few steps away from the coral strand hotel. Its mostly a local affair, with local people showcasing their stuff in various stalls, some of the stalls were having souvenir items, beach wears and coconut/ wood made collectibles, while most other had local food offered at unbelievable prices. You could get plenty of street food stuff to eat here, mostly within 40 SR to 60 SR per plate.  There were some locals playing music and others dancing off casually to their tunes.

There is a nice walkway down the road starting from Coral Strand, thus all the people collecting food in the take-aways from these stalls were having it here, sitting...

Overall, a wonderful experience! This spot is perfect for watching the sunset — the view is truly breathtaking. There are several beach bars and restaurants nearby, making it easy to grab a drink or enjoy a meal with the ocean breeze. If you're lucky, you might encounter the friendly fruit vendor; she lets you take a photo with a fruit bat if you make a purchase. As the afternoon fades, the sky fills with flying bats. I even spotted a few rays gliding near the shoreline — a magical moment that made the visit even more memorable. The sand on this beach it's not so white and soft as I've experience on the others, but still worth visiting!

One of the most popular beaches of Mahé. It is bigger than other beaches. Water is so clear and bluish green. We enjoyed the sunset here too. The scene is breathtaking where the green mountain meets the sea and sunset on the back ground. There are lots of bars and souvenirs shops here. Some independent vendors selling fruits and veggies. Diving and snorkeling agencies are also available here. Unfortunately the sea was rough and they were not doing anything that day due to safety reasons for their divers. We parked next to the Tattoo and piercing shop. I wouldn’t say plenty of parking but it is still available and free.
