With a name like Chocobar, you’d think this is a dessert bar or patisserie. Well it’s actually a zichar! Located on the ground floor of Vision Exchange along with a slew of Chinese eateries, this relatively new place has a few surprises.
I came after reading the food reviews about their Fried HokkienPrawn Noodles but was seduced by their Flying Noodles. The child in me wanted to try what this crispy noodles would look like and taste like.
I was not disappointed. The noodles looked like they were about to jump out of the plate. Deep fried until they are crispy, you basically allow the noodles to soak up the gravy before consuming. Lots of ingredients in the plate of noodles too.
Price at $10 is not exactly cheap based on zichar standards but you get aircon indoor sitting and great stir fried dishes. Guess I’ll have to come back and try their Hokkien Prawn...
Read moreMost of us ordered the wagyu burger to be told it would be an hour long wait to get our food so we changed our order to then be told it would be a 45 minute wait anyway. The waitress did not write down our order which turned into a total disaster. 3 side dishes were missed and one of our party didn't even get his food at all. I ordered the chilli cheese hotdog which arrived cold.
The music was too loud, more like nightclub levels so we couldn't even chat within our table of people without having to shout at each other.
The server refused to let us split the bill at the end and was very rude when we asked to do so.

• Garlic Mala Fries ($12.90)- STRONGLY RECOMMEND! Huge plate with lots of seasoning.
