Richie's Crispy Puff — Restaurant in Jurong East

I was really craving for a good spicy crispy sardine puff. So i asked around & they recommended me here. So i bought their curry & sardine puff for a good price. But to my surprise, the sardine i had wasn't sardine at all. Its 99% onion, literally thin sliced onions that's well mixed with their paste i suppose. & their sardine filling was just 1%! I swear i was so super disappointed! Like really really disappointed! I took 2 bites & had to throw it away. Their curry was ok, not so great too so I'm not sure what's the hype bout this place. You guys please, instead of sardine, which you guys assume is sardine, please put onion puff so customers won't feel disappointed if what they eat isn't what they purchase ffor. I’d have rated higher if not for the bad attitude of the seller. We were just browsing when she came out and scolded us why we didn’t ring the bell (hidden at a corner), and that we should only ring when we have decided which one to buy, so as not to waste her time. When asked about the different flavours, she scolded again why we couldn’t read the sign ourselves and there was no mutton curry puff, while there was indeed a sign stating “mutton curry puff”. Went there 3 times these 2 weeks. Today is the only day I finally managed to get the chicken curry puff.

1st time had the mutton curry puff whose flavours didnt gel well.

2nd time had the chicken cheeze puff and all i saw inside were lots of onion slices and few miserable pieces of diced chicken.

Chicken curry puff is still their best. Crust is flaky and the filling is nice.

Only gave low rating because the lone Auntie manning it has been curt during these 3 visits. Signs were not displayed properly. When asked her questions, she answered impatiently and seemed to want you of her sight pronto.
