The staff are very nice and friendly but some form of crowd management needs to be established as the space was kind of small and it was really crowded.
Paid $22 per pax and half the time we were just sitting around staring at the dogs because other people were literally hogging the dogs and my family and I hardly got to pet the dogs- except for brief moments in between and until the very end of our 1hr. Unfortunately we wished the experience could’ve been better. It would be good if the staff could also reinforce some guidelines to visitors for the wellbeing of the dogs, because some people literally carried/dragged the dogs on their laps even though it was clear through the dog’s body language that it didn’t want to be on anyone’s lap. Staff could take note if there are customers who barely had the chance to interact with the dogs to encourage interaction with the dogs and customers because it would simply not be right for us to pick up the dog in the middle of the crowd.
Dogs were very adorable but appeared very worn out by the crowd and were mostly resting.
There were only two ice cream flavours to choose from and the strawberry one tasted weird/spoilt.
Please relook into your crowd management system for a better customer experience and for the wellbeing of the dogs.
Rating is given for the overall experience. It would have been rated much lower if not for the wonderful staff and...
Read moreI visited this dog cafe. You get scoop of ice cream of your choice and there is a place to sit outside with tables and chairs to eat it. Aside from that, it’s not an actual cafe which was a bit unexpected so just know that at least!
It’s $22 for entry (including ice cream) and you leave your bags in a cubby hole. The staff were very pleasant and welcoming, and explained clearly what we had to do, or not do.
There were 4 dogs in the playpen and it was quite loud when they barked, and hectic (so if you have a friend or family member who reacts badly to loud noises I’d definitely suggest them wearing headphones).
There is a large window where people from the outside could see in and the dogs could see out. If this were my cafe I’d change the set up a bit to have the dog play area set away from the window and blocked off to prevent this being a source of overstimulation for the dogs. I didn’t ask but I presume the dogs are taken for walks daily outside of their ‘working hours’.
There is definitely something in the idea, and I had a nice time, but I do think it needs a few tweaks and some proper positive reinforcement training to reduce overexcitement from the dogs, which can cause bites or collisions with both adults and children, which isn’t always welcome. Anyway, it’s something different - why not spend some time...
Read moreArrived at the cafe at 3:45 pm on Good Friday, a public holiday. It was very crowded. Inquired about availability for 3 pax for the next timeslot (4-5pm), was assured there was space. Lady ahead of me who booked the same time slot was already inside by 3:55 pm. Requested entry, directed to sanitize hands and stow belongings in open cubicle (no lockers provided). No specific ground rules provided, no announcement for end of previous time slot (3-4 pm). Cafe reached peak capacity by 4:15 pm, over 25 adults and children in limited space (refer to photo). Lack of supervision for young children, several under age 5 seen running after dogs and handling them roughly. Only 1 staff member inside dog area alongside another at cashier. Entry fee of $22 per person per hour, included complimentary scoop of gelato but during visit, only 3 out of 6 gelato flavors available, waited 15 mins extra for the ice cream due to spoon shortage. No bio-information of the dogs displayed in the cafe, no water bowls available in dog area.
Based on our experience, it appears that the shop owner's expertise in managing a pet cafe may be limited. Their emphasis seems to lean more towards capitalizing on the cafe's popularity rather than prioritizing an enjoyable experience for both visitors...
