For a decent bowl of Hakka YTF, head over to Pasir Ris Hawker Centre Level 1. Near to Sports Complex.
Nowadays, $5.50 to $7.50 for YTF is quite common. So besides considering the price, the YTF pieces must be fresh and flavourful. For this stall, I think they've found a good balance.
As you may (or may not) know, hakka YTF uses pork filling instead of fish. So if you're looking for the fish-filling YTF, fishballs, cuttlefish, etc... Not the right place. For carbs, other than bee hoon and hakka noodles, they have cabbage rice.
I like the cabbage rice option. More filling. Soup with bee hoon option comes with a rather modest serving of bee hoon. ๅไธ้ฅฑ ๐
Recommend the Chicken Wings (Har Cheong Gai) too. They are crispy and delicious. Not too salty. Prepare to wait for about 8 minutes. Worth the wait.
Worth a mention, this stall offers a free meal to the needy. You can also pay it forward by sponsoring a meal ($5.50). Tonight I witnessed a man asking for one such meal, the stall-holder just made a marking on a chart and prepared the meal. No fuss, no...
ย ย ย Read moreAgree that the food is delicious and itโs one of my regular go-to food stall as its located near home. Now the stall is managed by a big and tall guy and not the friendly boss. The current guy always place a towel around his neck to wipe away his perspiration. About 2 months ago I ordered the food and saw his perspiration dripped while he was preparing the food. Today I went back to the same stall seeing the same guy with his forehead full of perspiration. I told him not to mind the feedback I was going to give ie to wear a headband which is more convenient. His attitude was nonchalant. While preparing the food I ordered, he literally allowed his perspiration droplets to come so close to his eye lid (can drip any time) that he didnโt bother to wipe them off. This seems like a response to my feedback through his body language :-( Anyway if you guys donโt mind the โadditional saltinessโ added to the food, I have nothing to say. Perhaps someone can come up with a more tactful way of...

Though this time the soup is not hot nor the rice is as yummy comparing to my 1st visit yet I din expect Eddie the stall owner would came to our table and ask how's the food? This action really surprised me and Eddie even bother to explained after I give my feedback and he bring both of us another 2 bowls of hot soup. ๐ณ๐
All I can say about his humble attitude and the way on handling is really ๐๐.
