Service is ATROCIOUS. Rude and sarcastic stall owners/employees. Order placed for pickup from foodpanda. In foodpanda name of stall was listed as “Mun Kee Pig Organ Soup since 1960” where else their sign board is “Jalan Besar Pig Organ Soup” Being new to the area and first time ordering from this shop, I asked the aunty in the stall if the shop was the same as I have a pickup order cause location was pinned to the stall. I even showed her my order from Foodpanda. She sarcastically brushed me off asking me “If I know how to read. Does it say Mun Kee? This is Jalan Besar! Just read the sign board. Are the characters written and name listed the same?” I apologised and went away as I obviously got the wrong stall and thought probably the location was pinned wrongly. I walked to all the other coffeeshops in the vicinity only to come back to the same stall and saw delivery drivers picking up from the delivery table outside the stall. I went to the table and saw my order! I went to the same aunty to ask her why she told me it was not the same stall. Instead of apologising or saying she might have misunderstood me. She yelled at me saying “how she knows which stall I want to go. There’s so many pig organ stalls in the area!”
Seriously, wouldn’t the stall owner/employees know the name of their own stall? How would customers know if we are at the correct stall if the signboard is different?
Will never patronise this particular stall ever again! The food regardless how good has left a bitter taste to my palate. The coffeeshop otherwise is pretty clean and bright thus higher rating for...
Read moreThe pig organ soup features a variety of well-prepared components. Each piece is cooked to tender perfection—soft yet not mushy. The intestines, stomach, and pork slices are cleanly prepared, devoid of any unpleasant odors, which speaks volumes about the stall's meticulous attention to detail. The inclusion of tofu and a handful of vegetables adds layers of texture and rounds out the dish as a wholesome, comforting meal.
The accompanying braised pork trotters and egg in dark soy sauce are another highlight. The trotters are tender and gelatinous, melting in the mouth with every bite. The braising sauce is a revelation—deeply flavorful with a savory-sweet balance that enhances the natural richness of the pork. The egg, with its flavorful marinated exterior and creamy yolk, complements the pork trotters wonderfully. It’s evident that time and care went into perfecting the braise, making these sides much more than just a secondary attraction.
In summary, this pig organ soup stall delivers an exceptional dining experience that marries traditional flavors with careful preparation. It’s a must-try for soup enthusiasts and fans of braised pork dishes. With its satisfying portions, cleanliness, and dedication to quality, this is a spot that deserves its accolades and regular patronage. A solid 4.5/5!
