The restaurant was recommended by local friends as a place for good Vietnamese food – and that part checks out, the pho was nice. However, it’s worth being cautious about the service and overall approach: The menu offers large and small pho – the small one is half the size (which is fine), but also contains barely any vegetables or noodles, just broth. When we pointed this out, the response was simply: “That’s how the kitchen makes it.” We ordered pho with tofu instead of meat. It wasn’t clear if that would be possible, so it was checked with the kitchen – it was, great. But when the bill came, we were surprised to find a charge for “extra meat” – ironic, since we specifically didn’t want any. The explanation? Ingredient substitutions are charged – without heads-up. Attempting to give feedback to the staff received the most lukewarm response – a shrug and a goodbye.
We won’t be returning. It’s a shame, because this could easily be one of the nicer spots...
Read moreKind of mixed experience, visited twice, once ate there and once take away, and the food was delicious, the restaurant is nice and clean, nicely designed. But, we were waiting for far too long until we were served, and the place was not too crowded. The stuff was kind and helpful. The second time when doing take away, the waiters checked the bill before they put the package in the bag. But they gave me the wrong food (ordered prawns, got chicken which is much cheaper and I don't eat chicken). In future I would check if you get what you ordered. I noticed only when I was home.
Edit: Star up for the response...

I think our server had a long day. disappointingly they don't serve tap water, only bottled water. Don't mind paying just a...
