MINT Ružinov — Restaurant in Bratislava

I have absolutely no idea what went wrong with this particular branch of MINT chain but my overall experience in this place wasn’t even mediocre. For a starter the fact that you don’t know which waiter is yours and waiters don’t know who ordered what so they just approach your table asking if the dish they’re holding was ordered by you. Then we have the food. I ordered fattoush salad with egg and avocado. The salad itself is very simple so it was alright but the egg was too salty and the hummus was just nasty. I have no idea how can you screw up such easy to prepare things as egg and hummus. I would think if I pay 14 euro for a salad it comes with bread as in any other place, but no, here you have to ask for it. It only says a lot about how inconsiderate the service here is. Coffee they make is absolute joke, tastes like flavoured water.

Their coffee is good but the service was pretty low when I visited this place. The place was half-empty, there was way too many waiters but the one serving our table didn't pay much attention to us. When we tried to make an eye contact for asking the bill, he ignored us and eventually I had to ask another waiter for the receipt. This another waiter called "our" waiter, he brought us the receipt, and we had money already prepared but he left immediately and let us waiting again 🤦 He wasn't coming back so I had to ask the other waiter standing close to us again about finishing this paying process. Lets stop keep being BLINDFOLDED in this city with "cool" concepts and let's push for better food , food must be always tasty, making them look good it's the challenge of a chef, when it looks better than how it tastes we are failing as cooks. This were poached eggs, they destroyed completely what a poached egg is meant to be, 6 almost 7 euros for 1 SINGLE overcooked egg and some hollandaise sauce with a lot of other items that arent a eggs Benedict. Something to accept amazing bread.
