TOWERS Prime Steakhouse | since 2009 — Restaurant in Bratislava

Restaurant was weirded empty (not sure why they declined our attempt to book a table for 6pm and pushed it too 6:30pm). A real shame as the food was excellent. Steak handled really well. Promised vegetables discussed with waiter did not arrive on children’s plates (I speak no Slovak so will take most of the blame for that) children didn’t mind though as schnitzel and steak were excellent (the latter not very big but completely in line with price). Adult starters and mains were fantastic- carpaccio, tomato soup, Uruguayan fillet and special of strip tenderloin. Gluten-free pudding was perfectly fine if not perhaps at same standard as rest of meal. Bit grumpy when a random €1.30 appeared on bill for the dollop of ketchup youngest children had with her schnitzel. Drop in the ocean of a bill that whilst fair for the quality was punchy but just silly really when you serve such good food to do that - and if you do then make it clear in advance (a point in principle rather than substance). Wine was what you’d expect if you buy a good bottle in a wine shop for around £13-15 in the UK and feel you did well - at €28 in a very nice restaurant it felt a real bargain and complimented the steak. As can be deducted from the photo of my plate the food was good. And that is the only reason for two stars rating. Service completely let everything down...way down! Some staff must be made aware that the way they interact with customers is almost as important as they food they serve. Our waitress seemd totally uninterested and even the 10% tip was met with a very clear indication of dissatisfaction!! No thank you...No Good Bye. Just go and leave me alone feeling. After which she went to a colleague showing the bill and indicating her dissatisfaction. The food was good, but the prices where on the high side. Our suggestion...find a better place to eat in...

I do not know what happened yesterday, but some customers including the waiters were watching a hockey match, and the waiter was very rude to me, almost shouting at me, as if he wanted to kick me out of the place. Two guys who already had a table wanted to sit at my table... Bad day and bad experience yesterday. I am a frequent customer and I don't understand what happened yesterday (10.05.2018), hope it never...
