Poetika bistro & coffee & wine — Restaurant in Prešov

I went there last Tuesday. ( a week ago) My friend recommend it, and I trusted him as he is a very good chef and as he knows my taste too. Anyway. Is a very nice and well designed place. But food was tasteless. I had risotto with zucchini, and at least a bit of garlic would not do any harm. The selection of wine is very good. But dessert was a total catastrophe, I ordered a "Tiramisu" and believe me that was nothing to do with a tiramisu. So please chefs out there or chef wannabe, if you not going to make a proper Tiramisu, then please do not call it Tiramisu! Don't spoild a classic, is a crime! And anyway whatever that was, it was horrible! It was a mixed of fruit and chocolate and God knows what, that really tasted bad. Service was ok, nothing special. I ordered a jar of water with lemon and mint, i came without ice and the glasses were warm just out of the dishwasher. 😒 I have been in the restaurant business for over 20 years in various countries, in Europe and out of Europe, and I am married to a Slovakian chef. And we live in Denmark but we visit often. So thrue the last 15 years, i have seen Presov growing in restaurant an bar businesses and I'm so happy for the evolution of it. I really enjoy going to places like Dublin cafe, where every single time that I've been, is a great expirience, service is fantastic and no matter what you order, is always good, or they make it up to you. Shame they don't serve food!!! So if you want to make this restaurant work great as it looks, it really needs way way WAY...

Today we traveled to the "far" east to the city of Prešov. We have heard more than once about Poetika and finally managed to visit. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be good. The vibe here is great, the indoor seating is wonderful, but the outdoor seating is even nicer, where we found a spot. We started with lemonades and we recommend Mandarin-Coconut the most. When you look at the menu you will see that the selection is not vast but they focus on quality instead of quantity. We had chicken meat, veal meat and pork tenderloin. The food was beautifully served and was also tasty, except for the veal, which was a little drier. They saved it with the dessert - Mille-feuille served with homemade coconut ice cream. The service was nice and helpful, we spend there 3 hours and didn’t even know. They do also live music and have an amazing wine selection for which we will return. If you are on your way to Prešov, you must stop...

Dňa 31.5.19 som bol so svojimi známymi v tomto bistre nakoľko som tu bol spokojný a bol som totálne sklamaný jak jedlom tak prístupom...rozvediem ...Hneď po vstupe a sadnutí si, bolo od nás vybrané vstupné 5e/osoba s vysvetlením, že tam budú mať kapelu a ide to na podporu miestnych umelcov. Toto som zažil po prvý krát aby sa za vstup do bistra kde sa idete nsjesť platilo, veď keď chcem ako podnikateľ podporiť miestnych umelcov tak ich podporím zo svojho výnosu/tržby. Na jedlo som si objednal paradajkovú polievku, ktorá mi tu chutila a hneď sa mi niečo nezdalo. Mozzarela nebola v polievke nakrájaná ako minule, proste tam bol plácnutý celý veľký kus ktorý sa jak zle naberal tak nepohodlne jedol. Ďalej na minulej polievke na vrchu kde bola mozzarela bol olivový olej na tejto nebol. Ako ďalšie sme si objednali superšalát tofu panda a bol nedochutený, nebolo tam vôbec cítiť sójovú omáčku ani zelenina nebola teraz ako minule, preto že minule bola ratatui na jemno pokrájaná a tetaz proste iná a dosť veľké kusy ...Nuž čo nechal som si zavolať kuchára a tomu som vysvetlil problém. Bolo mi oznámené že zákazníci sa sťažovali na to že je to slané, tak tam tej sójovej omáčky dávajú len tak trošku. Tak čo už :( sklamanie. Po niekoľkých minútach k nám prišla nejaká pani ( asi majiteľka, presne to neviem lebo sa nepredstavila) a pýtala sa ma aký bol problém a zopakovala mi približne to čo pán kuchár až na to že sme si radšej mali objednať niečo iné. Tak nič, objednáme ale tu to už riskovať bohužiaľ nebudem. Minulá recenzia: Toto bistro som si našiel na základe reklami a musím povedať že neklamala. Trošku som mal problem nájsť, nakoľko na mapách absentuje foto bistra z ulice a taktiež keď sme šli s priateľkou po chodníku absentuje reklama s bočnej strany. Po vstupe dnu očarí príjemné, útulné posedenie v štýle kaviarne. Ďalej snu sú jednotlivé miestnosti a v nich jednak posedenie na gauči či pri pekných stoloch. Zaujímavo riešená presklenná kuchyňa navodzuje dojem takého talianskeho štýlu. Prekvapila ma ozaj veľká vinotéka, kde si vyberie ozaj každý podľa gusta. Ako prvé sme s priateľkou ochutnali paradajkovú polievku. Príjemná sladko kyslá chuť bola obohatená o mozzarelu čo ozaj pasuje k tejto chuti. Ako druhé som si vybral "superšalát tofu panda" aj keď nie som milovníkom tofu. Na malé kúsky nakrájaná restovaná zelenina ochutená o sójovú omáčku k tomu bulgur a grilovaný tofu syr boli ozaj pecka, priam fantastická chuť. Porcia bola stavaná tak, že sa z nej nemá problém najesť dospelý chlap. Ako posledné by som ohodnotil milý, príjemný a úslužný personál ktorý som si odtestoval pri výbere vína. Ďakujem ... určite ak bude v Prešove nebudem mať problém ísť s kýmkoľvek do...
