As someone who’s always on the hunt for good food, I’ve been living in Žilina for two years and have traveled across Slovakia and other European countries.

Among all those experiences, today’s visit to "Palmstreetboyz" really stood out — not only for the taste, but also for the creativity and the joy it brings just by looking at the dishes.

The price is around 15€ per dish, which might feel a little pricey, and the portions aren’t that big. If you’re there just to enjoy the flavor, it’s fine, but if you want to feel full, two people would probably need at least three dishes.

Even with the price and portion size in mind, the focus on flavor, the clean presentation, and the quality of the ingredients make this place more satisfying than most restaurants I’ve tried in Europe so far.

I’d definitely go back again. Now that I’ve moved to Prievidza, I think this restaurant will become one of those little things that make me look forward to life...

Good, central location; pleasant service; a surprisingly tasty tom yum. My only, friendly "amendment" would be that the "goreng" in "nasi goreng" truly stands for "fried." As in, take day-old rice, throw it in a wok, add some black ketchup and let it caramelize nicely until brown. But who knows; perhaps local customers didn't take to this authentic Malaysian/Indonesian taste. Overall, though, a solid effort. I wish this establishment and its proprietors...

Dnes to, chlapci, nedopadlo dobre. Pre nás, ani pre vás - preto jedna hviezdička. Rozmeňme si to na drobné. Reštaurácia bola zaplnená tak na polovicu, super, tak sme si sadli. Obsluha X sa o chvíľu začala venovať hosťom, ktorí prišli po nás. Hovorím si, nevadí, hneď je pri nás. Nerozhodní hostia si X sprivatizovali asi tak na 10 minút. - Toto máme, toto nemáme, toto je dobré... - vysvetľuje neúnavne X. Tak som šiel k pultu poprosiť o lístok.

Pane, kolegyňa sa vám bude o chvíľu venovať, - usadil ma asertívne šéfinko Š. Oukej, takže teraz sme na rade my, hovorím si. Och nie, X usadila ďalší prichádzajúci párik, dala im vybrať si a odcupitala. Sám veľký Š to registruje, rozhliada sa, lokalizuje personál, no ďalších 10 minút si nás nikto nevšíma.

Pozor, prichádza iná obsluha Y a..., áále, to snáď nie! Páriku vysvetľuje, že to, čo si objednali u kolegyne, už nie je, že X ju tu iba zastupovala. Deja vu! X a Y sa dohadujú, kto má terasu, a kto vnútro a tak.

Vzdávame to, čas velí! Keď sa X blíži, sme už oblečení a na odchode. Keď míňam Š, nechávam hlasnú poklonu: - Dovidenia! - Ne/počul ma?

Teraz si tie drobné zrátajme. Počas obeda mám na jedlo pol hodinu. Niečo zje samotná cesta. Dvadsať minút čakať len na výber jedla (a nedočkať sa) je na cti utŕhačné. Zachránili to švédske stoly vo vedľajšej Čínskej. Good bye,...
