Burger a Pivo — Restaurant in Spišská Nová Ves

The best burger I had so far in Slovakia's countryside. For lunch, I got ramen for a starter, a burger for mains, and a kvass-based limonade as a drink. The cultural-mix experience was top notch. Loved it! The lunch prices are amazing. A small portion of ramen is essentially free, the burger is very good quality (and finally good fried potatoes in Slovakia!)

My second visit was nowhere as good. The cultural-mix thing was still great: I got a local IPA and a sushi platter. The IPA was great, the platter not worth mentioning. My prejudice to avoid sushi in small Central European towns has just been reinforced.

Excellent place in a beautiful town. Wonderful staff and a wonderful array of 'stuff' on view. Sega Mega Drive games, classic English and Slovak books on the same shelf along with timeless board games and quirky nick naks vying for space. If this was in London, the hipsters would pack it out! I was impressed! The restaurant had a funky decor, modern but slighty quirky. The menu was varied (burgers, fried chichen, hot dogs, steaks, curries and even sushi!), and an impressive selection of beers.
