Gostilna Rozika — Restaurant in Ptuj

One of the worst experiences in Slovenia so far. First we got very dirty looking "seasonal" menu - if you don't like mushrooms or seafood you have very little options. No drinks menu.

Service was slow and unpleasant, we waited very long time even before they ordered us (after they seated us). Then another ~hour of waiting for food. No one came to order more drinks etc, total ignor and there was only two tables taken in whole restaurant.

Food was very below average - tagliatelle with zuchini and cheese (if any, it was basically all cream) didn't taste of anything (even salt, which wasn't on the table) and the turkey was dry. Then there was their "famous breaded chicken", which was kfc-like oversalted chicken drums with cheap fries without any dip or something. Beef gnocchi was ok (not great not terrible).

We ordered salad which didn't came. Waiter didn't even asked us for feedback.

The outside area, where we were eating, was beautiful. The service was great. The waiter had some trouble with English, but it didn't worsen our experience. The staff was really friendly and they even gave our dog a bowl of water. The food here was delicious and not too expensive. Personally, I chose to eat Stuffed fresh Gnocchi with Chicken, Mushrooms and Zucchini. It was not too salty nor too bland. It was a perfect golden middle. I only had to wait around 11 min. My other family members ate Mushroom soup, Stuffed fresh Gnocchi with Beef, Fried Chicken and Sea food spaghetti. Everything tasted fresh and well cooked. The seasoning was perfect. Maybe the only bad little thing in here was, that our table cloth was not changed and it had a few stains. Fantastic place open also on Sunday. We arrived there during our road trip honeymoon on Sunday 1st Sep 2019 by a fortunate series of events and thank God! For less than 30eur our bellies were more than full of delicious local fresh food... We got the lunch menus (only menus available, perfect) with the mushrooms and pork tagliatelle and the calmari with prosciutto crudo di Parma. Before we got a selection of two soups. An awesome mushroom soup, better than the one my grandma makes, and a very good chicken broth. For dessert we have been served the famous cream cake from Bled no choice for that and thank God again!
