We had really nice time, we were eating to much because the food is awesome, we were eating seafood and the taste is spectacular, the service is top, i have some intolerances and they help Me preparing something soft for my stomach, i really appreciate it. I felt very happy, the view is fantastic, i highly recommend it. I'm sure you can find parking close as us, i recommend for family and couples is very romantic

Ein echter Place to be mitten in Izola – und doch direkt am Hafen! Sidro liegt perfekt: zentral und trotzdem mit traumhaftem Blick aufs Wasser. Seit Jahren unser Fixpunkt an der oberen Adria und die perfekte Einstimmung für eine Urlaubsauszeit und das aus gutem Grund: die Jakobsmuscheln! Sie sind groß, frisch, perfekt zubereitet – besonders die gratinierte Version mit Parmesan, Bröseln und weiteren geheimen Gewürzen ist ein absolutes Highlight. Aber auch die gegrillte Variante ist ein Genuss. Dazu gibt’s selbstgebackenes, knuspriges Weißbrot und erstklassiges, hauseigenes Olivenöl – aus der familieneigenen Mühle. Die Speisekarte ist fischlastig und eine Freude für Liebhaber der Meeresküche. Eine solide Weinkarte rundet das Angebot an Kulinarik ab. Der Service? Aufmerksam, freundlich, unaufgeregt – und seit Jahren dieselben vertrauten Gesichter. Ein Ort mit Seele, Geschmack und bester Lage. Durante la mia vacanza a Izola sono stata in questo locale due volte, sempre a cena e sempre nel dehors. Si apprezza, rispetto ad altri posti, la cura dei dettagli sia nella tavola apparecchiata con un certo gusto che negli accessori (salviettina al limone per chi ordina pesce) e la straordinaria gentilezza e affabilità del personale, che parla almeno tre lingue (sloveno naturalmente, ma anche inglese e italiano) e si affaccenda instancabilmente dentro e fuori dal locale. Per quanto riguarda il cibo, il pesce è di ottima qualità e cucinato a meraviglia sia al forno che alla griglia o fritto e abbiamo apprezzato anche gli antipasti (conchiglie miste e sarde marinate ovvero in saór) mentre per quanto riguarda la cottura della pasta o del risotto potrebbe migliorare per incontrare le aspettative (effettivamente molto esigenti) dei clienti italiani. Prezzi nella media del posto.

One of our best meals on the Slovenian coast. Go for the seafood (the orada/ sea bream was fantastic and the scampi/prawns were excellent as well with pasta) . The seafood mostly needs to be ordered by weight and as I wasn’t used to that asked and the waiter was very accommodating and suggested what would be good portions and he was right on (not to much and not too little). Absolutely the best seafood restaurant in Slovenian Istria! Gostilna Sidro in Izola is a true gem. The fish and seafood are always perfectly fresh and cooked to perfection – you can really taste the sea in every bite.
