Susu bubble tea Cavendish — Restaurant in Claremont

Not one to normally complain but I have been going to susu religiously for the past year ordering the same drink, sweetness with no ice to the point that the staff would joke wouldn't I like to something while already putting in my order and checking before finalizing. Extremely friendly and enjoyable. Though on this occasion, newer staff I don't recognize, I gave my order while they continued having conversation while taking my order. When I came back a milk tea was given instead of a chocolate milk tea, thinking it was an honest mistake I purchased the usual I do again and kept the order they gave as I could just give it to my daughter and mistakes happen. Instead of being polite about it the same as I was, when the lady that originally took my order came back and they told her, she began saying that she gave me what I ordered and proceeded to switch to another language discussing this and not once addressing me.

In the end no one at home wanted the milk tea as they didn't like the way it tasted and I was left with the bitterness of the interaction which I felt was not necessary as I offered and paid for the mistake boba tea and an additional one. The other servers tried being polite about it but this individual had no interest in hiding her dissatisfaction towards me even though I was assisting in covering her mistake which I felt was abit...

Visited Susu Bubble Tea and it was such a fun little experience! I tried the classic milk tea with pearls first — personally, it wasn’t for me since it mostly tasted like cold tea, but that’s just my taste. The caramel coffee, though? Absolutely delicious. I added pearls to that one, and it worked so much better for me.

The pearls themselves are definitely an acquired taste — a strange, chewy texture at first — but surprisingly enjoyable once you get used to it.

The staff were really friendly, and the whole place has such a cute, welcoming atmosphere. I especially loved the themed seating area in the back; it gives the shop so much character and makes it a fun place to sit and relax.

I visited this store last year and had the taro milk, which I greatly enjoyed. Today, I returned hoping to order the same for my sister.
