Fishtales Lorraine — Restaurant in Eastern Cape

Food quality is good. Service is absolutely HORRIBLE .. Lady behind the counter seemed more interested in what is going on, on her cellphone whilst I was placing my order. I requested a tartar sauce with my Calamari portion "which was lovely" but upon receiving the order.... I was told it would be R10 extra... Which I understand, but I did request this initially from her. After we had a debate and I said she was not paying attention, I was hit with the tong klap and a bad attitude. Your product is good. But you will struggle to sell anything if you are treating your customers like this. Sad, but very true... Won't...

I got their medium chips a few time and that is just amazing, and they wrap it in the special “Fishtales newspaper”, last night I got their “popular option” Hake Calamari and Chips, was very nice, the position on the calamari was very small. Hubby got a Hake and chips, and he was also very satisfied. The ladies were very friendly and as we stood there waiting for our order, the front lady (at the till) greeted every person that came in with a warm and welcoming attitude. Keep Up the...

Fishtales is by far my favourite! Their seafood always tastes fresh, and the winner for me is their slapchips! They taste and look like proper hand-cut chips, whereas most other places' chips are clearly cooked from frozen. The prices are very fair for the servings you receive, and the staff always greet with a smile! I would say this is more of a takeaway spot. However, there are some tables for those who prefer the sit-down experience. Fistales will always be my #1...
