My experience at 33 On Bond was nothing short of fantastic. My server (Anya) was fantastic, and the food was lovely. however, there are definitely certain things that need major work. The manager (Ben, a third-year hospitality student) was extremely passive-aggressive. I complained about my food being late to my server and reassured her that this was not her fault. The manager approached us, apologizing and stating that our food had only taken 20 minutes, essentially pushing the narrative that I, as a customer, was incorrect. This left me feeling very uncomfortable. Our food had taken over 40 minutes; I'm sure a simple explanation could rectify this, however, the manager made excuses and became extremely defensive, which is not how a manager is to behave. When you enter the place, you are welcomed by the manager and you are seated outside or inside depending on your preference. Then you are showed to a serve yourself starters compromising of different varieties of food and spreads. You then order lunch, drink and dessert.
