Cappuccinos Blue Hills — Restaurant in Gauteng

We had an ok experience. We arrived late on a Sunday,other places were closed. We ordered a BBQ chicken pizza,which had zero barbeque on the chicken, however,it was edible thanks to the Parmigiano and chilli sides provided. It was lovely though,as we were about to leave,to have an African man,who had been sitting at a table near us,this I assumed him to be a customer. He walked into the restaurant,then walked out,burped LOUDLY,and ENSURED that he farted and left us to sit it the remnants of it. I then thought he had left ( was a customer), but then came back to tidy up random colourful items from a table near the entrance and unplug things near an outside table. I think he may have been a performer,or provided some service earlier on. (Edit: I later went outside to smoke as he left. He was driving a white Bantam style bakkie and was clearly not an employee) Suffice to say,we were REVOLTED at best. We had planned to come back but never again. We will go to any other restaurant.I also feel this was a targeted racial attack as he waited for the African couple sitting near us to leave before he did this shortly afterwards. Utterly revolting.Unfortunately the good waitrons will Absolutely unacceptable. As somebody from Pretoria,new to this area,we are HIGHLY unimpressed. I had a lovely experience at Cappuccinos. From the moment I walked in the staff were attentive and welcoming, which immediately set a positive tone for the evening. The food was enjoyable and full of flavour. Although it was a little noisier than usual because of the big opening celebration at next door, it added a sense of liveliness to the atmosphere rather than taking away from it.

The wings and ribs were beautifully seasoned with just the right balance of spice and taste, the chips were satisfying and the quesadillas were fresh, cheesy and wonderfully filling. I do not recommend you EAT here. This below is why:

I am a regular at Cappuccinos Blue Hills. I use the restaurant as my second office. Meaning I spend a significant amount of time at the restaurant. However, my visits to the restaurant are daytime.

This evening (25 Feb 2025), I decided to do some work from the restaurant and not home. The number of cockroaches I saw at night was scary and disappointing.

I confronted the manager about the issue, though being apologetic, was aware of the issue. Based on his explanation, fumigation is ineffective.

To the management of this Cappuccinos and others ensure that the restaurants are cleaned properly.
