​I recently visited the Doppio Zero branch at Blue Hills Shopping Centre and was impressed. If you're looking for a restaurant that gets the fundamentals right—space, service, and location—this is it!

One dish. That is all ever ordered. Impossible for kitchen staff to get correct.

Burnt sage butter = a brown butter sauce.

Yet, Limone sauce would come wildly under done, very yellow, not cooked off enough. The chicken would be pink.. with very light grill marks. An entire half of lemon, used during cooking, was dumped in container and sent to customer. This was after the 5th time of ordering. Which subsequently prompted the 1st time stopping in to the actual restaurant to request meal be prepared correctly. I ordered same meal, which came 20 minutes after order, still undone, and the manager offered to “cook more.” It came 10 minutes afterwards, prepared correctly. The regular day manager was incompetent in achieving fit future visits, as the next time placed an ordered.. food was delivered undone, yellow sauce, chicken undone.. the same way. This time refused & did NOT eat it. Returned the meal to the restaurant the very next day where met Lucky was good in replacing meal, addressing with staff, and expressing apologies. It was the farewell of one of our office colleges so I booked for a group of fifteen people on the day before. I specifically asked for inside seating because of the cold weather. On the day of said event I received a call from the restaurant 5 minutes prior to the booking to inform me that they would seat us outside. (No room for negotiation) Unfortunately , it was too late for me to move the event to a restaurant that would have actually respected my initial request. As a result we ended up being seated outside in the cold and left much earlier than expected since the weather conditions became uncomfortable very quickly.

While there I ordered a crumbed chicken meal that I previously enjoyed at the restaurant, however, I ordered it to go since I planned to have it for supper later. Took the package home and upon opening it I found what resembled the crumbed chicken breast that I ordered but it was burned to a crisp.

Would have loved to rate the place higher because I have had a few enjoyable meals there in the past, but when it comes to the food business "Worst...
