Col'Cacchio Dainfern — Restaurant in Gauteng

Was avoiding going this but I’ve come to a breaking point. Col cacchio at Dainfern square used to to be my mum and I’d favourite place to go catch up, however, since it’s downgrade we’ve had nothing but bad experiences. We went there for lunch today and order small things, my mother ordered meatballs from the “small plates” menu and I ordered the pea Fresca, the meatballs came and they were cold and raw in the middle, my pea Fresca had raw pasta in it (all pasta shell were raw) we sent the meatballs back as they were cold and the waitress went and just heated them up in the microwave, the shop is so small we heard the microwave beep twice whilst waiting. Then she brought them back and they were in a tiny bowl, something you would serve ice cream in, it made my mum feel like a child at a family restaurant. I did not say anything about the raw pasta as I would much rather write this review.

Not only was the food and service bad, the atmosphere was too, I I believe they don’t sanitise and wipe their tables due to there being so many flies and bug in the restaurant. There was a lot of crumbs on the floor and I had to shoo away flies from my table every two minutes, an unpleasant...

Great food, great atmosphere and great service thank you Khethiwe for the wonderful service. I do think something that would really improve the experience is not using the frozen crushed garlic for the condiments, it’s watered down and not as flavourful and fragrant as you’d like. The chillies I received as a condiment didn’t taste the freshest they weren’t stale but didn’t smell or taste fresh more like they’d sat after being crushed for a few days in the fridge and exposed to air, didn’t make them the yummiest or most flavourful. Food has a quick turnaround time which I deeply appreciated. They have a lunch special menu that makes for affordable dining (not displayed on website). The phone line doesn’t ring or work (at least when I tried calling 3 times), so if you are maybe shopping in the mall and would to place an order, you physically have to go to the restaurant and place that order which is inconvenient if you are looking to do a quick mall trip and do lots of things in a small...

Yay for this branch of pizza perfection! The decor is nice and modern, the staff and owners are attentive and really provide a great experience. Even though I mostly order delivery, this level of attention and courtesy comes with their delivery service which is always punctual. They are the real deal for delicious, pizza or pasta with a South African twist. Kudos for looking after the low carb clan, I'm not a fan of cauliflower as a pizza base, and for getting local foodies /chefs to contribute to the menu. Viva...
