Friendliness and warmth of the host and owner... 5/5❤️😍👌The owner and lady at the till (host?) were both very pleasant and so patient with me as I explained my dietary issues and gut related problems. We had a lovely conversation. The attention was genuine and really appreciated. Even so, for a vegetarian and being very hungry I was sorely disappointed. No chunky veg/strong veg presence at all in the veg biryani. What happened to the spices? The veggies texture, freshness and flavour 1/5. The type of rice was also a let down - not a basmati. The grated carrot/onion side-dish smelled and tasted off... Loadshedding? Overall an unpleasant food experience. I treated my daughter to some lamb mince samoosas from there as well and I want to believe she'll hit gold there. I'll give it an other go trying a dessert next time perhaps, once I feel better. There must be a specialty to discover - I want to believe that every restaurant has at least one. 1 bad experience cannot rule out the...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this location. It's really nice and spacious (upstairs and downstairs). We went for a Sunday lunch, and it was a little quiet. I had the lamb breyani, and hubby had a quarter lamb bunny. The breyani was delicious. It was flavourful and spicy. The potatoes were soft. It was served with dhall and salad. It was also a really good portion. The lamb bunny was also lovely. The colour was really appealing, and the flavour was good. The potatoes were not as soft as I'd liked them to be.
The ablution facility was clean. Our waitress was lovely. However, she didn't check if we needed anything as we sat upstairs and had to call her when we were done. Also, the prices have changed since the previous reviewer posted.
If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine, this is definitely a...
Read moreI had my first and last meal at your restaurant tonight. To say it is the worst value I have ever experienced in my life would be a complete understatement. I had the Lamb Curry. If there was even one dessert spoon of meat in the dish I could not find it. All I received was a small handful of bones with no meat on them and about a quarter of one small potato. I made no fuss at the time as I was with one visitor from America and one from Botswana and one of them was paying the bill. If I had not ordered a Naan with it, and eaten three of the samosas ordered separately, I would have left very hungry. Worst value I have ever had in all of my years. A disgrace. Catch me once, shame on you. If the review did not require a star to get it on here, I would rate you NO...
