If I could give a negative rating i'd gladly do so, I ordered online a pizza when I received an sms stating driver is outside, found not a single soul in the road, Driver called me and had the audacity to tell me I should meet him at KFC which is 2/3 blocks away from my physical address, and was adamant that he won't be coming to my address as he said he is at the location of KFC when I instructed him how to get to me he ended call, I called him back and he tells me he is outside at this point I stood in the actual road to see if I could spot a scooter bare in mind my road is well lit already so visibility isn't an issue, I called driver to tell him where I am even sms him to state i'm waiting no reply, This morning I called again to escalate the issue to manager and he said he would wait for driver as he isn't in as yet, driver name Lamick or something to that effect who still hasn't responded eventually I get a call back from Store manager Blessing which then said the driver said he was outside my house yet when I asked to describe how it looked outside he mentioned its a house with spikes and flats next to my house which proves its incorrect as no flats in my block or road, then later they call back and give same story saying franchise owner said he can give me a 30% discount and they can make the order and deliver, which I declined as its not about the money but the principal behind customer service and nothing is being done to incompetent drivers who clearly don't know how to use navigation, then when I received another call back as manager Blessing stated he would speak to franchise owner regarding this matter the response from franchise owner was there was miscommunication between driver and I yet I offered to direct him to me with my own airtime and I was ignore google maps was then used to describe how it looks outside yet those images aren't accurate or live feeds so finer details are missed. I expect the franchise owner to contact me regarding this as it is unethical of...
Read moreDisgusting service ever,I always call to place my order for collection, and this time I was coming from Pretoria and hoping to pick my before getting home, to my surprise that I still had to wait another 30 minutes in the restaurant as my order wasn't even taken to people making pizza,my slip was taken from under the till to be given to the guys making pizza while I was standing there. No apology nothing at all.I have been a customer of Debonairs Colombine square for so many years, and I really used to love this place. It would seem that the restaurant has lost lost its touch,as this incident was not the first bad service I had received from them. It's just Chaotic there now,There's a girl with short hair and dark skin, Unfortunately they don't even wear name tags,I think she's been at that front desk for far too long, and it high time they get someone with a better attitude as her attitude stinks to say the least,I'm disgusted by her behavior every single time I'm there,She will Not even bother to look at me,let alone greet me as a customer, strange enough I always greet her first but I don't even get a response. That is Unacceptable and very disrespectful and I'm Not tolerating it any longer,I don't know what happened to the most basic customer service rule of Hello...
Read moreI recently decided to revisit Debonairs after more than a decade, driven by a curiosity to see how their pizzas had evolved. I'm a fan of oven-made pizzas, so I was intrigued to give it another shot. While the taste was decent, it didn't quite live up to the memory of what it used to be.
One notable change I observed was the shift in the pizza's composition. Back then, there seemed to be more cheese, but now the pizza is laden with sauce. Perhaps this is the brand's new direction, but personally, I missed the cheesy goodness. Moreover, considering the price, the toppings were a bit underwhelming.
One aspect that pleasantly surprised me was the speed of service. The pizza was prepared astonishingly fast, which is great for those looking for a quick bite. The crust also caught my attention – it was remarkably pale, free from any burnt marks.
All in all, it was a nostalgic experience to relive Debonairs' pizza after so many years. However, I find myself still inclined to invest in authentic Italian oven-baked pizzas for a more satisfying...
