Debonairs Pizza — Restaurant in Gauteng

Today I got the worst experience from Debonairs Northcliff.

Delivery was very late and the driver went to a wrong location in a totally different area and he called me like it's my fault that he's at the wrong place but I've had numerous deliveries to my address with no hassles. Then when I call the branch a man named Nelson ( Changed his name numerous times and says he's the Manager) didn't seem bothered and told me the driver has arrived and if I'm unhappy I must subtract the R15 delivery fee. So driver arrives while I'm on the phone with the manager and the food is ice cold and I refuse to accept and pay for food that's been God knows where. Manager still gives me attitude, no remorse at all and call ends while I'm still speaking to him then he calls the driver and tells him to leave with the food. I'm really disappointed and disgusted with Debonairs right now. Now I have to start a new order after 9pm because you can't treat...

We've ordered pizzas and we've waited more than an hour for delivery. Of course it would have been worth the wait if we were given good pizza but this was not the case...bad crust, barely any topping, unappealing and unappetising. Eppy took our call and said he couldn't do anything and that he would bring us pizza in the morning. I guess it doesn't matter that we're hungry NOW and that the service is deplorable. Ebrahim, if you are responding as the owner, don't bother responding to my review. You obviously don't care about poor product nor poor customer service. If you did, you would have upped your game a long time ago, when you read and responded to the scores of bad reviews posted long before mine. It's not the first time we've had a bad experience with your service...not willing to give you another chance to disappoint...

Debonairs pizza has, over the years, really lost touch and relevance in South Africa. They are extremely expensive and over the top for where they are. Compared to their competitors, they are far above the belt. Although their choices of food are unique and bountiful, it's still very pricy and out of range of the average citizen, making it the elitist pizza shop. Every now and then, they have a cheap option, but compared to the rest, it's so watered down. It's almost an insult to the poor. Other than that, the last two times I ordered from Debonairs, I got food poisoning, even my mother, whom I got it for the first time ever to show off. Needless to say, it's the worst first impression ever. In conclusion Debonairs is very out of place in this country. Maybe better relegated...
