We recently had the pleasure of staying at a delightful guest house in Northcliffe, Johannesburg, and it was an absolute gem. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, everything about our experience was top-notch.

First and foremost, the guest house was impeccably clean and well-maintained. The spacious 2 unit apartments we booked were not only comfortable but also offered spectacular views of Johannesburg, which added an extra touch of magic to our stay.

Safety was also a priority, and we felt completely at ease throughout our visit. The host went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, even upgrading us to luxury units free of charge to accommodate our group's needs, especially for our elder members.

What truly set this establishment apart, however, was its proactive approach to dealing with the water crisis and load shedding. With its own water supply and electricity backup, we didn't have to worry about disruptions to our stay. This level of preparedness was truly impressive and made our experience all the more enjoyable.

Overall, our time at this guest house exceeded all expectations. The host's kindness, combined with the peaceful surroundings and convenient location, made for a truly memorable weekend. Without hesitation, I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat in Johannesburg. It's truly one of the best options out there, and I can't wait to return.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive experience at the guest house, I must mention a minor hiccup we encountered with the driveway gate. Occasionally, when we dialed the designated number, the gate failed to open promptly, resulting in small delays. However, it seems this issue was largely due to fluctuating cellphone network coverage in the area.

Thankfully, the host and her husband reside on the premises, and they were always available to assist should this glitch occur. Their immediate availability reassured us and ensured that any inconvenience was swiftly resolved.

In the grand scheme of things, this minor inconvenience did little to dampen our overall enjoyment of the guest house. With such attentive and responsive hosts, any small issues were quickly addressed, allowing us to fully relax and...

We had a wonderful stay at Orangerie Guesthouse. Northcliff is a beautiful area, very central and close to all amenities. Elna & Henri are great hosts and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. The unit faces north, so during the day it was nice and warm and residual heat kept it cosy after sundown. Aircon is available if neeeded. Views over the city towards Sandton, Rosebank and the city centre are great and the balcony is a perfect space to these vistas with your morning coffee or glass of wine in the late afternoon. The space is modern, well appointed and meticulously maintained. Wifi is excellent. We do not visit Jhb often, but if we do in future, we certainly know...

Comfortable 2 bed apartment with all amenities. It was very private, and safe and had beautiful views of the skyline and sunsets. Lots of birdlife and very quiet at night. No road noise and we felt very safe. All load-shedding was well managed with generator that kicked in so we had lights and security when needed. Good access control. Beds comfortabl and linen fresh and cotton. Our host, Elna was friendly and accomodating. Centrally located. We couldn't wish for anything better ... and all at a good price....
