Hennie's Montana Restaurant — Restaurant in Gauteng

Today we arrived at Montana Hennies like we would normally on our way back to joburg for a quick meal and drink. We are so so use to a friendly welcome on arrival with our pup Jack Russell, generally the owner welcomes us with open arms. Unfortunately today we weren't even greeted properly on arrival before we were rejected entry by the management. Tannie Sonja( new management) has zero clientele experience it seems. Unfriendly and pretty impersonal. The waitresses and waiters seem to not agree with her dismissive behavior, which I picked up from their reaction's. 2 years we have been customers and my tiny dog have always been welcome. It takes one individual to ruin a pleasant environment/business. I guess that would be your new management... I believe she goes by tannie Sonja. I would suggest she developes the ability to treat people kindly and with patience that would allow us to understand the new possible rules of Hennies Montana. Unfortunately our entire family and friends won't be back to visit...

Entering the gates we found more than enough parking with car guards to keep the car safe. The reception was friendly and efficient. Got a waiter, also friendly and efficient, all well so far. Ordered the monster 1kg t-bone, no stock. Changed order to 1kg pork loin ribs at R325! and for the lady a chicken schnitzel at R120. The chicken schnitzel was done well and the lady was happy. The ribs was no where near 1kg, doubt it was 500g, asked them to weigh it for me, but they do not have a scale?? I ate the few pieces of ribs in less than 6min! The pork was also under-cooked, and cold on the inside, obviously taken from the freezer. Another irritation was the very loud music, way too loud to have a conversation, the waiter even was frustrated as he can't hear his customers, we asked to be moved to a more quite spot so we could at least hear us speak, only for the dj to then turn the speakers again after awhile. This was our first visit there, as always I will do a follow up in the future, see how...

Went out for a drink with myself and to say I was shocked is an understatement! They will most definitely be seeing me again. 10/10! From the amazing service to the good music, it was just "WOW". I did not order food but from what I saw on the menu and what came out the kitchen, the food looked mouthwatering. My waiter was so attentive, he kept checking up on me but not the annoying kind you know. I swear he was watching my glass, because everytime I was just about finished he would pop up and chirp "need anything else?" The staff are super friendly!! And not just some, the whole lot of them. There is a bouncer at the front so if you are looking for a "no-trouble" place this is it. Whether you are a family wanting to go out or just a couple of friends wanting a good place with good music and 'vibes' as they call it to hang out or even just by yourself I would definitely recommend checking...
