#Delayedpost After doing a morning walk in the chilly weather, we deserved a breakfast to fuel up again. Most padel places seem to be setting up coffee shops to service the players hunger or thirst or even the family members and friends supporting the players. We made a stop at Jeany’s Coffee Shop a quirky little spot with inside and outside seating, and quite a variety of items on their menu. My latest search is still to find the best toasted chicken mayo, so I ordered that with some chips. To wash it down I was so tempted for my normal cappuccino with cream (as my hands were frozen red and swollen), but I ordered the Sunshine Fruit Burst Smoothie (Mango, granadilla, banana, yoghurt and oatmeal). I can't complain, it was both really good. I took a walk around to see what else is in the premises. They have more indulgent desserts looking at you as you walk outside. It's a nice covered area as it didn't feel that cold outside. There was also a shop up the stairs, but my legs were so stiff, there was NO way I was attempting to go up. Quite easy to find off Pretoria road, go check them out. #TheFoodMusketeer #TheFoodMusketeerEats #TheFoodMusketeerDrinks #TFMJeanyscoffeeshop

This place will blow you away. In my opinion, there is no other place quite like this in Benoni. It's a coffee shop, with a second hand bookshop upstairs, a second hand clothing shop, plus padel courts, a Gelato shop, and play area for the children. The coffee shop area is beautifully decorated, and the food really good. Milkshakes are delicious with enough syrup to flavour it. Pop in at the little nook with second-hand kiddies clothes, toys, and books. This venture has an honorable goal, in that proceeds go towards the Almond Tree centre for children at risk. It's an amazing undertaking, and one can only admire the much needed work that is done there. Thanks to Jeanette Stuart for her visionary and generous foundation.

The food was great after a very interesting game of panels. So serving a health dose of exercise and food appears to be the next crazy. Will this be a future Olympic sport time will tell, but Jeany's will be the reason we have a team for it ready.

We were quite excited to try Jeanys beacuse of some of their aesthetic pictures on google. After our paddel game ended at 3pm we headed over to a table a Jeanys, the staff standing around watched us approach but no one came to serve us, after waiting about 10 minutes we decided to call someone over and ask them to take our orders. After taking our orders the waiter didn’t clear the table and the wind was quite hectic causing the menus to blow away and blowing the stand up menu over continuously until I decided to move all of it myself. While we were waiting for our food other customers had also sat down looking around wondering where the service was when my boyfriend had signal to one of the staff members standing around that those people need a waiter. When the food came it looked very nice but it was very mediocre and not worth the price. I had the warm chicken and mango salad (R125) I was expecting fresh mango but it seemed to have been grilled which gave it a really bad taste. After eating we also waited around to have someone clear the table and for us to ask for the bill. It’s also mentioning it was not busy at all we and the the other customers mentioned were the only customers at that time at the restaurant and some people over at the paddel courts had been receiving their...
