We visited Kawali House with stroller and baby in tow—and were pleasantly surprised by how welcoming the vibe was. The ambiance was cozy and elegant, with enough charm to make you want to stay a little longer.
Service was excellent too; the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. The food looked incredible, served in a way that felt true to its roots, and the flavors absolutely delivered. Every dish had that “authentic look” that makes you sit back and appreciate good food. The Biryani ball starters were delicious along with the Kashmiri Boti’s. The presentation once again was an absolute marvel to look at.
That said, a couple of things held the experience back from being perfect. The portion sizes felt a bit small for the price, and none of the dishes came with sides, which left them feeling a little incomplete.
Also, if you’re visiting with a stroller or wheelchair, just a heads-up—the layout and seating aren’t very spacious or mobility-friendly. Not a train smash, but something that could be improved.

From the moment we stepped inside, the decor was truly impressive, a stunning blend of modern elegance and warm Indian charm. The ambience was inviting, and the staff greeted us with friendly, attentive service, paying meticulous attention to every detail.
The presentation of each dish was nothing short of extraordinary, reflecting creativity and care that immediately raised expectations for the food itself.
Every dish stood out: The starter chaat was a perfectly balanced symphony of textures and flavors—my personal favorite.
The Karala prawn masala offered rich, bold spice notes and succulent, well-cooked prawns, we paired it with the saffron rice.
And the Delhi butter chicken, Creamy, indulgent, and deeply comforting with butter naan.
We finished our meal on a high note with the lotus ras malai and the signature Karak chai.
The live Qawali performances on weekends created an atmosphere that felt soulful and festive, elevating the whole dining experience and made my son's birthday celebration one he'll never forget.
Congratulations to my 3 favorite brothers Riyadh, Shezaad and Reshaad Allah grant your'll success in all...
Read moreIt's considered to be one of the best places for biryani Gauteng and it lived up to the reputation. I liked the biryani, the spicy butter chicken was a delight. was something different . Milkshake was good, it was thick and fresh. I got a prawn curry packed and just had it this evening . For me the best part was the service. The ladies who takes orders, serves, brings the bill and also manages the counter and kitchen was so friendly and hospitable. The restauranteur and owner twice asked me how I am finding it while I was eating. He was very courteous and nice. It's a good restaurant and one must go to have their briyani among other things. I missed out on trying out the other stufg will probably try it next time. The venue is immaculate and safe and the decor is just so pleasing. Try this place out if you can get a booking. Best to book in...
