I am Amogelang a regular customer. I really enjoy the bottom less coffee and the food is always out of this world!
However , I had a different experience today , I spent half my day at the restaurant as I also find the restaurant great as a work station. I was served by Ernest.
He was absolutely not friendly at all and hardly served me well. Firstly I ordered my first cup of coffee thereafter he never showed the decency of coming to my table to at least check if I needed anything. Thereafter , hours later I needed a meal but because he hardly came to my table like he did with other customers. I ordered from another lady but ernest was the one who then served the food although I ordered from someone else. Again instead of checking if I needed something , I waited. After eating I waited for around 45minutes thinking he’d notice that I’m actually full. I asked another waitress for a doggy bag. The waitress then had to go ask Ernest to bring the box for me. He brought the bill minutes later but another lady actually offered to allow me to pay. I did not want to tip him but I did because I am very friendly and I value everyone around me. He didn’t even have the decency to bring the card machine knowing very well that he has given me the bill. Its shocking and I doubt I ever want him to serve me. Its displeasing to watch your own waiter serve other customers With a smile without having to have the same experience. I also did not want to ask for the manager in store but I really am disappointed and upset that we still have waiters treating people differently and the key question is on what grounds?

Not a minute later a second male waiter came to our table, we thought he's coming to introduce himself and take our drinks order. To our surprise he just came and made double sure that we MUST KNOW that they are closing @ 15:00.
I said to him bro, relax we just sat down, there is still more than an hour left, what's the rush? Why are you guys telling us this over and over? We are here because we're hungry, to eat, not to come and party... Jeez!
He said yes, he just wants to make sure we place our orders quickly...
I looked at my wife and our child, and we all felt VERY uncomfortable, and we all said at the same time, let's leave!!!
This place will NEVER see me again!

Read moreI had the low-carb breakfast, and I was actually quite excited to try it again since the last time I went to another Mugg & Bean, the presentation and food were both excellent. My biggest disappointment was thinking the same would be for this M&B. The plating was a comical mess! Those poached eggs looked like they were homemade by my 12-year-old, baby tomatoes were all over the show, and the halloumi was so hard I ended up using my hand because the fork was at war with it, I didn't even touch that greasy baby spinach and that was the star of the letdown on my plate!😔 At least the avo was edible since it wasn't cooked, thank goodness. I didn't share my experience at first but after going through the other reviews I just had to add my two cents and adjust my food rating because the fact is I absolutely did NOT enjoy my breakfast, and I was on a date at that time guys.😬 If not for the good service I would have probably been a drama queen and called the manager.
