I went for a breakfast at mug and bean in meyersdal mall this morning and i was offered a horrendous experience...
I ordered my usual steak open sandwich and a coffee and a glass of water... Now I order an americano with milk on the side as in the past I have been given an off cappuccino that hospitalized me for 2 days so im now very cautious, anyways the coffee arrived as I was attending to my busy day with emails etc etc, I poured the very off milk into my coffee and was about to take a sip when I smelt something funny ... anyways as per the attached pictures the milk was very off once again...
Anyways the owner then confronted me with what seems like a weeks worth of frustration and explained that this happens all the times its no big deal she will make me a new one and I need to buck up and there was no fault of theirs at all things happen as she said ... sure I appreciate the offer but not the attitude it came with and just wanted to explain that it is actually a big deal .. this cup of coffee could have put me back into the hospital for a few days and explained its the reason I now order an americano with milk on the side... she then snapped like a crazy lady and proceeded to ask me to get out of her shop and never come back along with a hail of mean and offensive comentary whilst I was calmly leaving the store.. anyways this was infront of people I know very well that were eating in the establishment....
Long story short I am highly offended by this incident and thought I would give mug and bean the change to handle this internally before I begin with a legal case as this is now about more than serving off food but also deformation and simple...
Read moreAbsolutely appalling experience at M&B Meyersdal! We were excited to celebrate our birthdays (my twin and I, together with our husbands), but the celebration turned into a nightmare. The miscommunication about the "free" birthday cake was just the beginning - despite registering on the app, we were forced to pay for it. However, the real low point was the young (white) male manager's behaviour. He was completely uninterested in resolving our issues, and his attitude was atrocious! Throwing our change on the table after we paid cash for the "free" cake (and the meals & drinks we had) and walking away with a hostile demeanor was unprofessional and unacceptable.
The situation took a turn for the better when Casey, the woman manager, stepped in. She was apologetic and showed kindness and empathy. Her efforts were a silver lining, and we appreciated her effort even though it couldn't redeem the overall experience. Casey is a lovely person and I doubt this M&B would still be in business was it not for her.
We left with a bad taste in the mouth and that on our birthday. We won't be returning unless there are drastic changes in customer service and food quality. The contrast between the two managers' behaviour was stark, and it's clear that some staff members need training in customer service. We're sad to say that our frequent customer...
Read moreI had rubbish service this morning. First of all, my waitress argued with me about the dish I ordered (as if I would order chicken when I am vegetarian, I don't know why she wouldn't just take responsibility for her mistake), so then i had to sit and watch everyone else eat while I waited for the correct dish to be made. Then, when I got the dish, it was a sloppy disgusting mess, completely different from the last time I ordered the exact same dish - why is Mugg & Bean so inconsistent? My partner's food was cold, and when he enquired about it, he was told it's a cold dish, even though the last time he had it, it was hot. The waitress had such a sour attitude, and then the manager was defensive. Although she apologised, she did absolutely nothing to improve the experience. I am very unimpressed wigh this awful experience and would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially considering that all four tables surrounding as also complained during the time we were there, so it was obviously not an...
