Panarottis Lakeside Mall — Restaurant in Gauteng

I was a regular customer at Panarottis Lakeside mall for almost 11 years until this final straw of deterioration of service. I called to place an order for collection, the waitress was clueless. After explaining to her that I am vegetarian, she kept asking me if I wanted "chicken or steak flavor" subs. I called again and asked to speak to the manager. I went on to place my order once again emphasizing that I am vegetarian over 4 times. On collection once again we confirmed that the order did not contain meat. On taking the first bites of our subs, we found chicken and steak in our subs. I will never support any restaurant that does not respect people's religious and or dietary principles. Incompetent staff with zero communication skills, and poor language skills. Staff loiter outside and in the restaurant having really loud conversations, totally uninterested in their jobs or customer service. A disgrace to the Panarottis franchise. After a long day at work my husband and I decided to go to Panarottis. Walking in there was no other customers, our waiter was very friendly. However the other staff was very loud. After asking our waiter if it is usually like this she said she will talk to them. A man came to apologize (I am not sure if he was the manager as his name tag was wrong way around). They were quite for 5 minutes then it started all over. What made it worse was that our waiter was one of the few that was talking behind us in the kitchen area. Trying to have a relaxed dinner with staff members shouting behind you is not pleasant at all. We ate our staters and left. We will never go back!

Service was outstanding all thanks to Sthembile wow I salute her🫡. I did not wait long to get a table. My daughter and her friends enjoyed rib and chicken pizza delicious. My pasta was exactly how i looved it. Also made sure it goes well with a glass of Hennessey VSOP. I will definitely do come again and will recommend it to friends and family. Neat playing area full of kids equipments to enjoy themselves.
