It's a New build franchise 2022 so the vibe is current. There's comfortable upstairs and downstairs seating with a bit of a view, that's always nice. We use to drive to Montana for the delicacies, so we are very pleased to have a sparkling new branch right on our doorstep. The food is exceptional. Familiar full flavour combinations and some new ones. Especially the Smoky mayo, something I wish they'd bottle and sell by the gallons 'cause I would have that over my morning cereal. The wings are a bit pricey and small but definitely Devine. The cheesy fries are very generous portions but could be improved... It's more like a poutine, cheesy gravy than melted full flavoured cheese, but still very comforting and filling. The menu concept is truly awesome. The waiters, or could I say door staff, is friendly and quick, accommodating and helpful. They literally great and welcome you before you step through the door. Nice new touch. The food comes quick and warm so I would say the kitchen staff are well trained with a system that works. The aroma is magical, always. Take away packaging is a new take on brandless, recyclables and probably not as attractive as the other big franchises. If I could take a positive out of that, I would say that at least it is sturdier and more manageable. Overall I would place Roco Mamma in a target group for the younger generation according to aesthetic and vibe, but would not exclude the young at heart and good food lovers. They are truly the boutique for fast...
Read moreAfter travelling hundreds of kilometres across provinces, collecting little stories like pebbles along a dusty road, Logan and I returned home to nothing but an empty fridge. Tired and hungry, the universe answered with a bold billboard: RocoMamas Queenswood shouting out their Burger Meal Special — just R59 for a burger, chips and a drink. Sometimes it’s the small bargains that taste like the biggest blessings.
We grabbed the special, added a portion of their 6 Bombs (cheesy perfection), and treated ourselves to a Belgian Chocolate G-Shake — pure joy in a glass after so many kilometres.
The intercom was a little unclear, the voice too soft to catch every word, but what mattered was waiting at the window. There stood a gentleman with the warmest smile and the kindest eyes, turning a simple drive-thru into an encounter with pure kindness.
And then came the golden moment: Stoffel, our Schnauzer travel buddy, wagging in the back seat, was handed his very own takeaway box. Inside? Doggy biscuits. 🐾 My heart melted. It wasn’t just food — it was thoughtfulness, noticing the little things that matter most.
💛 Well done, RocoMamas Queenswood. You didn’t just feed us after the kilometres; you reminded us that hospitality is about serving hearts, not just meals.
🌟intercom can improve, but everything...
Read moreVery disappointed after I drove to the store to order two Old Skool combos only to be told that the offer is no longer valid. I didn't think explaining the legal implications of advertising a product on the website (which was still being promoted on the site and is why I went to the store in the first place) would resolve the situation, and the staff member was not keen to resolve the problem so I left with a bad taste in my mouth and won't be returning. After a positive first experience at this branch and numerous good experiences at other branches, this has turned me against the brand and I'll actively campaign against it whenever possible.
Edit: I followed the link and gave contact info and further details, and all that's happened is an SMS and email asking whether I'm satisfied with the response. I've not had a response to be satisfied with. This has just been a waste of my time, from visiting the website to present I've gained nothing and only given feedback on deficient systems....
