Popped into what, now was, my favorite place to get a coffee and to replace my travel mugs, of which I wanted 5. So here's the story. I think you will want to watch the instore video of this afternoon to actually believe this. I see 1 on display and enquire If there were more that I could purchase. The, new guy, was ( i presume he was training as he had a hand written name tag on), asking for assistance from a very nice young lady. She went to the back to check stock for me. In the meantime, this first person couldn't find the price, and also the scanner didn't pick up the bar code. The was fumbling on the system, when the young lady came back holding the other cups I wanted. She also tried scanning and typing in the bar code ,but to no avail. It's struck me then, what that sound was I was hearing and where it was coming from. Low and behold, a chappie being chewed buy the guy and making clucking sounds, there was the chappie, half hanging out of the corner of his mouth while chewing like crazy! The, what I presume is, the store manager came out to assist with my purchase. Went back to the back to retrieve his cell. Made a call and asked the person o the phone a question . He went to the back again, came back to tell me that the cups were no longer for sale. What a disappointing visit! Needless to say,this branch is certainly going down hill. Read moreUber Eats delivered two cinnamon sugar doughnuts and breakfast egg bites that I ordered from Starbucks Bassonia. Two hours later I looked forward to enjoying my order with a cup of coffee. The doughnuts were hard as a rock. The egg bites were so tiny and looked completely dried out I and I refused to try biting into them. This is my second incident with orders from Starbucks Bassonia. The first incident related to a toasted sourdough chicken mayo sandwich that arrived half toasted due to their toaster not working (for two months already) and without sourdough bread and the quality of the chicken mayo so bland and watery I could not eat it. I have ordered the same sandwich before which was delicious, the best chicken mayo sandwich ever, however this particular order suddenly and badly lost its overall quality from bread to filling. The replacement sandwich (as compensation) was equally bad. The manager, Brenda, is very accommodating and efficient in handling customer complaints and goes the extra mile to issue new/replacement orders at no extra cost. As much as I appreciate this, issuing low quality and below standard orders in the first place is unacceptable. I have lost confidence in the quality of the food prepared by Starbucks Bassonia and will be very reluctant to order...

Last night the 10th Dec 2024 my wife ordered an iced decaf chocolate gingerbread latte, as marked on the pic, we both double checked with the counter clerk that it was decaf as the order was placed. She noticed when the same staff member prepared it that the coffee was dispensed from the same place for both her's and my drink (which I ordered normal with caffeine). I proceeded to then triple check to make sure that decaf was poured for her to which I was told it was. 10-15 mins later my wife started feeling shaky and ill, progressing to a pounding headache and eventually a migraine so bad that she hadn't experienced something like it in years, still continuing through the rest of today until now.
Asking for decaf is not a suggestion, but an actual health restriction! We checked 3 times after ordering and the fact that the staff was still careless shows absolutely no concern for healthcare, honestly pathetic and fines should be in place for this kind...
