I had my first dining experience at Turn & Tender steakhouse, and I must say I'm extremely disappointed. The entire meal left much to be desired, and I felt compelled to share my less-than-satisfactory experience.

Firstly, the food I ordered was served cold, and the cheese on my burger didn't even melt properly. It's quite disappointing when a basic expectation of a hot meal isn't met.

Additionally, I ordered the calamari, and they were drenched in sweet chili sauce. While I understand that some people might enjoy this combination, I found it to be overwhelming and not to my taste at all.

The presentation of the biltong starter was equally lackluster. It consisted of just a few slices of biltong with no discernible spices, accompanied by one half-cut tomato on the plate. It lacked the attention to detail and flavor that I expected from a steakhouse of Turn & Tender's reputation.

To make matters worse, when I brought up these issues with the manager, he was apologetic and promised to discount the burger on the bill. However, this discount was never actually applied when I received the final bill, leaving me feeling even more frustrated and disappointed.

TURN 'N TENDER BASSONIA - Thank you for satisfying some serious cravings and for service that was effortless from start to finish. We drove from Bedfordview knowing this was the only place that would guarantee clean, fresh and perfectly succulent steaks perfectly cooked to order and WOW was it worth it. All sanitation measures are in place, we were greeted warmly by staff and our waiting time was at a minimum. The food was neatly packaged and clearly labelled, and by the time we drove back to Bedfordview and opened each box, we were greeted with an escape of heat and a delicious, hot meal (quite the victory for such an icy day).
