I placed an order with Steers Dowerglen tonight (29 January 2023) at 19:42. It's been over an hour since we placed our order and the app keeps showing "Preparing". After a while the live tracking also became unavailable. We tried phoning the store several times with no success (an automated voice keeps telling us that we should hold for a manager after which the call just drops). I also tried contacting a live agent using the chatbot but that was just as useless as the store (suggesting we use the tracking option on the app or phone the store - which are both not working, and they then closed the chat).
According to Google the store closed at 20:30, giving them more than 45 minutes to prepare our order. It's 21:00 now so our food is obviously not going to be delivered tonight.

Tuesday I ordered a quarter chicken meal, no other customers insight apart from 2 ladies at a table deep in conversation. I paid went and bought some odds and ends from the Spar. When I got back to Steers to collect my order. They only started my chicken? Stood waiting for another 15 minutes! Tonight I decided to order food via the Steers App. Took over 2 hours to deliver ice cold food less than 1km away. In future I'll rather support the Steers in Senderwood.    Read morePlaced an order for delivery at 19:00 - it arrived 1.5 hours later, completely ice cold. To make matters worse, the driver’s card machine was dead, and the store was closing in 20 minutes.
The next day, I spoke with the manager, Thandazo, who spent 45 minutes arguing that I was in the wrong. She insisted we should have sent the food back if we wanted a refund or a fresh order - not once did she apologise for the awful service.
