Soul Souvlaki Dowerglen — Restaurant in Gauteng

Utterly pathetic service from the female answering the phone on Saturday, 8th June about 7pm. Ordered through Uber Eats and waited for our order for over an hour, the driver's information (Donald) reflecting on Uber, showing him in one position and not moving, he's been 6 minutes away for over an hour. Phoned the restaurant to find out if our order was collected, only to receive attitude from the lady that answered, she doesn't know who took the order .. ok fine, accept that. But she says she can't see that we even ordered anything and refuses to assist. Gave her our order details as is on Uber, she refuses to acknowledge it. Reported on Uber about this mysterious order and driver. Then called the restaurant and told the lady we have ordered again through Uber and and want to confirm she received this Uber order, only to have her cut the call, WE CALL BACK ..... and she raises her voice, irritated when we ask why she cut our call and we ask about our new order ... she yells that the order is there and will be picked up .. even though we trying to explain the previous call we just had with her that our food went missing and just trying to confirm an order she said she...

I’ve always loved Soul Souvlaki, and I’m so glad they opened one down the road from me! We usually order from Uber Eats but decided to stop by for lunch today. The venue is small but lovely. The food was fresh and flavourful as always. The chicken skewer plate was great, although the chicken could have been a bit more tender. Their dolmades are also delicious. I got the taramasalata dip on the side for the pita and it’s a bit pricey for the portion. My boyfriend ordered the chicken pita wrap and it’s always a winner. I was extremely disappointed today. My partner and I walked into the Soul Souvlaki at Dowerglen at 11:20am on a Saturday. There were 5 staff members present, but not a single staff member acknowledged us as we walked in. When we asked if we could sit, we were ignored.
