We recently had the displeasure of dining at The Daily at Irene Link, and I was thoroughly disappointed. The food was subpar, the service was careless, and the manager was indifferent to our complaints. Our birthday party ordered different steaks, but all of them were disappointing. Considering that The Daily had an onsite butchery one would think that they will give you a better portion of the meat but you will be disappointed. The milkshakes were below average, the blunt knives made it difficult to eat our food, and the white vinegar was served on a serving plate, which resulted in it spilling everywhere. The tomatoes were pumped full of rotten vinegar, the mushroom sauce was full of onions, and at R2 per chip it was completely overpriced. The only things that were edible were the garnish onion rings and the overpriced chips. Our waitress put two plates on top of each other and sprayed us with the rotten vinegar tomato, and the manager did not care when we reported all of these issues to him. Overall, we had a terrible experience at The Daily at Irene Link. I would not recommend this...
Read moreI recently visited The Daily Coffee café and was blown away by the amazing coffee and stylish atmosphere. The first thing that caught my attention was the very trendy decor, which is a perfect blend of contemporary and rustic styles. All the little details were thoughtfully curated, from the cozy seating nooks to the coffee cups.
The baristas clearly take great pride in their craft and it shows in the coffee. Every sip was rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed.
What really made my experience here incredible was the friendly staff. From greeting me warmly when I walked in to chatting with me about my day, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and valued.
Overall, I highly recommend The Daily Coffee café to anyone looking for a high-quality coffee experience. It's obvious that this is a place where passion and dedication go into every detail, and this is reflected in every sip and interaction. Whether you're looking for a quick morning pick-me-up or a relaxing place to stay for a while, The Daily Coffee café has got...
Read moreAmazing service and really good food.
First have to say that our waiter, Josh, was fantastic. To be honest, we sat down and found out they only serve wine (no alcohol) and were on our way to getting up and leaving but Josh's attitude and friendliness got us to stay.
The food itself is good. Simple, non-pretentious, just letting the flavour of really good produce shine... and it works! Burger was grilled perfectly, lamb was soft, accompaniments were fresh. The coffee shake was delicious and has definitely peaked my interest regarding their coffee, which Josh says is sourced from Uganda and Ethiopia. Will definitely be back for a cuppa.
My only gripe (and it's a really small one... no pun intended) is the portion of chips is tiny and amount of Lamb in the wrap was out of proportion to the amount of salad. A few more chippies, a little more lamb and this would have been a perfect...
