We have long been deprived of authentic taste of Turkish kebabs until the emergence of “Turkish Kebab House”. Well, the ownership and the name changed a few times which was worrisome to me in that I thought the place would eventually deteriorate and go down the drain. But thankfully, I was wrong and the spirit remained behind. I do not long to be in Turkey anymore to have decent kebab meals as Turkish Kebab House has come to our rescue by being “Home away from home”. I personally think the taste of kebabs at Turkish Kebab House is much better than many places in Turkey (not sure if the South African meat is the reason behind!). As my wife says “The best Turkish Restaurant in town”. But, I have a slightly differing opinion; “This place has a character in addition to being the best”. I have been frequenting this place before and after chance of ownership. The progress is towards being bigger and better. I always had delightful and pleasurable experiences; never had any stomach upsets or burning feelings. Probably a reflection of fresh and quality food served. The price is very good for the value. However, nothing is perfect and there is room for improvement especially on the service side. All in all, I commend all the owners so far; Ibrahim Demirtaş, Harun Kılıç, (previous owners) and Orhan Şeker (current owner). Thanks to Turkish Kebab House for being there. Keep up the good...

🍽️ Eko and Amin were very hospitable when I visited their Turkish restaurant.

😋 The food was immensely delicious—the meat, the chicken shawarma, and the Turkish tea at the end.

🍰 The baklava was delightful as well.

🙏 The owner is so respectful, kind, and polite to all the guests.

👨‍🍳 Meeting the owner Eko and the employee Amin, who is very friendly and the utmost gentleman to the customers, made me feel very happy.

😊 I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at this restaurant because they are very hospitable and make customers feel delighted and appreciated.

🤗 This alone makes customers feel so welcomed.

🍴 On top of that, the food is some of the best quality Turkish cuisine I have eaten in Johannesburg.

🛍️ There is also a small shop next to the restaurant where I purchased some Oud hand wash soap and a special Turkish soft drink that helps with digestion.

👍 I would highly recommend everyone to come to this restaurant and enjoy the excellent quality food and hospitality from such kind and polite people.

🥰 I will come again...

Went here recently for my birthday. We ordered the mix grill for four, lahmachun, Ayran and Sutlac for dessert. Firstly, the lahmachun was just out of this world, I couldn’t believe how good it was. The mix grill was too die for, everything expertly grilled and super tasty with minimal spices to show case the meat. Funny enough, the kofte was surprisingly the best thing on the plate, absolutely stunning and to die for. Everything else was still very very good. Best part was the portion size, we were a party of four but even ate the meal for supper (leftovers) and still had some left for the next day. The Ayran came a beer mug, it was quite big and great value for money, a bit watered down but it needed to be like that, in fact enjoyed it better like that with the meal. The sutlac dessert was also good and by the end of the meal we were proper full and satisfied. Not the cheapest place but well worth every penny and perfect for the special occasions. Definitely...
